All Nyko sells now is the EX version (the one i have). Nyko said why the fires even started.

The reason people couldnt log in was because.......TOO MANY 360s SOLD IN DECEMBER. Like i said tho, I would MUCH rather Wii win then any of the other 2 anyway. I always root for the underdog. And so far, its working. Wii outsold Ps3 4-1 this month.

I don't really think giving outdated information is a good way to argue with us Like bkf said they don't sell the reg ones anymore, just EX which I have too because I knew something was wrong with the other ones. But they have already had tests by some electrical facilities stating that it doesn't draw any amps or voltage from the 360, and it dramatically cools the 360. I know it makes it louder, but you can barely hear it over my tv so I could care less. I remember my xbox 1 used to sound like a tornado because I was using the 12v fan mod XD. The only bad part about the 360 is its bad rep. I don't know maybe its just me, but whenever I buy a console usually none of that stuff happens to me. My xbox is fine, and I have tons of fun on it. That's all that matters to me, I mean if you take care of it why should anything bad happen to it? If it had the rrod in the future then either I will send it in and get a new one or I will just fix it myself. I mean the only thing stoping me from taking it apart and like changing the fans to better fans, new thermal compound and X-Clamps is just that I have a warranty right now and M$ still accepts xbox's with intercoolers on them (from what I hear at least) so why should I risk it? But hey mine is perfectly fine, and I love playing it. Live was pretty dang laggy in december, but it's wayyy better now. But I guess that's a fact of life.

a bad rep is EXACTLY a reason not to buy something outright which is exactly the reason i dont use vista. mind you i WILL have a 360 eventually because im just that kind of gamer. i like it all. but until MS can say "we havent had thousands of units fail since we released these new xbox 360's or these redesigned 360's" im leaving it be. i dont celebrate bad design. and waiting a month to get your system back is kinda annoying if not a downright pain in the a**.

and throwing new thermal paste on and removing the brackets is a temporary fix. go water cooling kit. i have a busted one at my house right now opened up. if i felt wasting a hundred bucks on a MAYBE fix i'd probably try the water cooling kit. tried cutting a big a** hole in the top and screwing a 6x6 bakery fan on it but no go.

im just saying MS isnt GOD of technology. and i think people should i dont know "look at options" before spending any time or money on something that could crap out on them.

oh and the wii for what little it really does is doing incredible in sales. go nintendo your showing everyone the same incredible business tactics that you did back when you were warring with sega. if it wasnt for the little console shortage they're having it'd probably would have beat it 6 to 1. still just a cube with a fancy controller though. mind you brawl is going to rock.
