I just wish there was a way to use a 3G iPhone on AT&T without any special plans Why can't I just keep my cheap plan I have now?

The only thing you pay extra for is the data plan. Even that though, is the same price as any 3G phone, $30 a month.


I am on the same family plan I always have been, but I just pay the data package.

So is there any way to not pay for a data plan? I'd would just use wifi anyways, but I still want to stay on my same family plan im on now. I remember looking at it but something about having to pay for a certain plan that was like flippin $100. Besides we get a 24% discount through my dads work anyways so I doubt that would apply to the iPhone plans not sure.

Yea I hate it when your phone has internet capability and they like, make you get a data plan that is more expensive than the one you have at home for half the bandwidth, because that is all they allow you to have.

We really get f**k over here in the US. The cell phone companies have a big stranglehold over consumers here, what with contracts, the plans, all the rules they have. In Europe, cell phone plans are nowhere near as complicated as they are here. Leave it to the US to f**k up something as simple as a phone.
