Not to sound like I am defending him but it happens.

Hawaii takes 10 days to process a certificate request. That doesn't' count the time it takes for mail to travel from the continental US out to the middle of the Pacific. Hawaii can process a certificate sooner if you write them explaining why they should.

I don't know about you guys but I would think that making sure you have a birth certificate is definitely be one of the first things to make sure you have before you run for president... I made sure I had one when I was getting my drivers license >.<

That somewhere would be Hawaii.

If that certificate is fake it would be an easy thing to prove just find someone who was born at about the same time to come forward and show their certificate.

The fact that this has not happened makes me believe everything is in order.

I agree. If no McCain fans from Hawaii have tried to call it a forgery, then it's most likely real.
Each of you has a remote to blow up the other boat. At midnight, I blow you all up. If, however, one of you presses the button, I'll let that boat live. So, who's it going to be: Harvey Dent's most wanted scumbag collection, or the sweet and innocent civilians? You choose. Oh, and you might want to decide quickly, because the people on the other boat might not be so noble.

Hmmmmmm something doesn't sound right here.

Agreed, this doesn't sound right.

Obama owns everyone's company & bank?

What is the problem? I don't think the government should own everything but there are a few things the government should be in charge of like utility companies.

If California never deregulated their power companies Enron would have never happened.

IF government run business becomes profitable then it can only mean less justification for taxing the public, because the profits would roll into the budget. Would that not be a good thing?

What type of government are we heading towards? Depends who you ask. I believe we are heading towards national-socialism regardless of who is president.

Those bailouts people hang over Obama's neck were actually treasury secretary Henry Paulson's idea under George W Bush, not Obama.

One more thing...

There is little difference between Communism, Socialism, Facism etc. All 3 represent some form of complete government control. Begging the ultimate question... Who controls Government?

You said "once the government steps into private enterprise there is a huge problem" but do you realize private enterprise running government is still just as much of a problem?

While private enterprise does have a presence in government, I wouldn't say they control it. This is corruption. But government having its hand too much into private enterprise goes against everything the US was founded on. The government is supposed to work FOR the people. It isn't supposed to have its hand in all the cookie jars. Today's US democracy is so far away from what it should be it isn't even funny. And every democrat we elect into office is only going to take it further away. I'm not saying Republicans do perfect for the US, but democrats are allll about government run everything.

It is not as obvious with this administration as it was with the last one.

Before Dick Cheney became Vice President he was director at Halliburton, the company that earned billions through "no bid" contracts to rebuild Iraq. Cheney allegedly was still collecting a paycheck from this company even as Vice President.

There were many others but I don't want this to get too long especially considering the limited interest this thread is receiving and the fact that that was the last administration and not so much this one.

Most of the people in Obama's cabinet are prior civil servants however some were lobbyist. A short list of them can be found here: http://www.nationaljournal.com/njmagazi ... 1_4967.php

I do want to point out one thing...

Timothy Geithner is currently the treasury secretary. Previously he was the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, a private bank, not a government entity.

In fact, the Federal Reserve is the best example of PRIVATE enterprise controlling government. Congressman Paul explains it well here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji_G0MqAqq8
