Means you weren't taking care of it. Stuff's cheap enough anyway. Day's work will get you a new one.

I worked as a bagger for tips at a grocery store when I was 15. When I was legal to work at 16, i was working the max number of hours I could as a minor. That was with school and sports.

Yep, last I remember you only need to be 15 to get a workers permit. Of course I'm sure it can vary from state to state, at least here in NC you only need to be 15 to work a maximum of maybe like 20 hours a week I believe.

You've got it good; If you loose a bike, it's a few hundred dollars to replace.

Oh, yeah. You can get some extremely good boards for 60. You should never pay more than 100 for a board. I wasn't saying it's cheap- Just cheaper than most of X-TREME sports.

After buying and breaking many a board, wheel, bearing, and truck... it's pretty much pointless buying the more expensive parts, especially the trucks. The basic ones from the name brands will do just fine. Bearings I would go midrange on cause it sucks constantly pushing on gunked-up crappy bearings. There's no reason to spend more than $100-110 on a new complete.

Don't do it. It's a trap! They're trying to make you work in a sweat shop factory making waffles. lulz. When I was 15-16 I had anywhere between 18-38 lawns I mowed/ trimmed/ took care of etc. and that money alone was probably the best I could have made at that time. Spend 20 minutes, make $20.00... pretty much making $60 an hour and if you have a good back and are in good health to do the work the reward is good money if you get a "network" of clients that like your service.

No! DPM! That's not what they're doing! They're trying to trick him into living in the country with the other 20 citizens!
