Yea, I too believe there is a higher power, the likeliness that Dinosaurs where on earth alone for millions of years and all of a sudden vanish, then all of a sudden humans take their place doesn't make sense. So the "Common Bible" is the first Bible, and wasn't messed with by the church? Well in the old testament there where other chapters like Daniel and Ezekiel that meant a great deal :).

As I already stated, humans are genetically engineered by a higher intelligence.
No one wants to accept this because it sounds crazy but it is true and supported by the fossil record AND the bible.

READ

Genesis 1:26

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness(If god was a single being, that is not what he would say), and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

I think what 'our' means is that God was speaking with the Angels, God desired to make man in His and the Angels' image.
In the verse right after that it says: "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female he created them."

I did not mean to imply that the Common Bible was the first bible. There were many holy scriptures circulating as the bible was being compiled by the Roman Catholic church. The Common bible is only an inclusion of the books that were circulating at that time but were left out. I do not think an actual Common Bible existed until modern times.

Oh ok, I was just asking because I'm not sure if it is possible to get an original Bible, but I might check out the Common Bible to see whats different.

I guess when God says "our" he could also be talking about The Trinity: The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

It is possible but the Trinity concept really is not brought up until later in the Old Testament, not in the book of Genesis. The problem is that there is no introduction of these concepts early on in the book of Genesis so we are truly left guessing at exactly what this could mean. The only thing known for sure is that the words used for US and OUR are direct translations and can not be confused or substituted for anything else.

Some think God was referring to the angels that were around him and witnessed the creation. The way it is worded it sounds to me like there was more than one hand at work like in the surgery room.

The truth is that no mortal knows for sure.

every time i read the bible, it feels like its no god thats doing all the stuff, but a alien or some sort of smart person...

As que13x said "Genesis 2:21
So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep (anesthesia?); and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs (for DNA?)and closed up the place with flesh(Surgery?)."

if you look hard enough it sounds like a alien doing research on humans.
i dont know how to explain it its wierd.

By stating "we" came from dust I assume that you are male and referring to men specifically because only Adam came from dust. The scriptures are specific.

read:

Genesis 2:22
Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

Women did not come from dust like men did.

Genesis 2:23
The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman, ' for she was taken out of man."

Some say Adam was made from clay take it literally if you want; dust or clay both can contain elements necessary for life. Both words could be used as metaphors to a people that had not yet grasped the concept of organic material.

The bible does not specify that there were male or female animals that crawl, swim, fly, etc. but you have to assume that there were because we know today that they reproduce sexualy.

When I read about the creation I understand that man was created as though it was a special project. I think of Adam as a prototype or experiment if you will, I see Eve as a continuation of that experiment. The creator did not have to start from basic elements (dust) because they already existed in Adam and he was a working product and a viable source for material.

Oh I forgot to mention that yes, women do have an extra rib. I still find that odd.

You guys do bring up some good points. When it says we, There are quite a few possible that I can think of. But for some reason the trinity stuck out in my head right when I read that line. The trinity is a very interesting concept to try and grasp especially since there is really nothing to compare it to. Even though the trinity is not mentioned until later, at least I believe, it has always been there anyways even if not mentioned in the bible. Maybe people from the past have purposely taken out bits like any mentioning of the trinity until later to confuse us like what is happening either. Or maybe we just aren't meant to know. It's just the fact that the world is so complicated I don't know how any human could explain all of it. Even Albert Einstein, or a current version of him at least. Pretty crazy stuff. I've always wondered what makes your heart beat? Yah know, like why does it pump blood? Other then your brain tells it to, what keeps it from stop beating, what makes your brain do that stuff. I think it's cuz well God gave us a soul and well that's all I know. I think I shall add it to my list of items I will ask God when I get to heaven, that I probably won't end up asking. :p

It's not the religion that causes wars, it's the men who use religion as a means to control people that do.

Your heart pumps because it is a muscle. You have muscle cells in your heart that contract and relax in unison. The brain has little to do with it. If your heart cells were separated from each other (and your body) the cells would keep contracting but at their own rate. If you joined the cells again they might start beating together they might not. Muscle reacts to electrical impulses (this is why you twitch when you get shocked)so if your cells are not contracting in unison (heart attack)you can introduce electricity to reset them and get them beating together again (or stop them).

Ok so pretty much electricity causes your heart to pump blood, well causes the muscle cells to contract and relax. Alright I get it but where does the "natural" electricity come from? Is that why your body gathers static electricity?

All Christians i have a questions, do you think that religion and government should be involved.
Ex: do you think god should be in the "pledge of alliegence"?Do you think we need religious politicians. Do you tink political decision should be based on the teaching of the bible?h

that kind of stuff

I think separation of church and state is the best thing because without it a nation could never truly have freedom of religion.
