Mice's 360 vs PS3 Debating Thread

Still.....Sony needs to get their act together with all the broken PS3s cause of the firmwares they are releasing

I don't know anyone that has had that happen to them, it hasn't happened to anyone here or on my friends list. All you have to do is update the firmware are your good to go anyway.

Have u not read the reports? People (not just 2 or 3....hundreds) have reported bricks. U cant just fix them with a software upgrade since u cant reach the update. Sending it back to SOny was the only option.

There is that, but also "semibricks' so you can fix it. And LOL these numbers come no where close to the RROD numbers, I mean why make a big deal about this? You're acting as if "Sony needs to get their act together" when MS released the RROD knew about the problem, they need to fix THEIR act.

They already fixed their act to my knowledge. You cannot say that they released it knowing about the RROD, because no one really knows except M$. They have already added new cpu/gpu dies and heatsinks to combat the problem, there is a difference between fixing a problem and continually releasing problems.

MS needs to stop sending out refribs once they "fix" the RROD on that sytem. My friends have gotten 360's in worse shape then when they sent theirs in for RROD repair (of course there was no more rrod but it def's wasnt theirs, or in equivilant state) i think MS has a bigger prob than sony. How many millions has ms spent on RROD repair?

but the amount of people having probs with ps3 are so much smaller, and who is to say they didnt "turn off the power" during the update? or some other manual error....

From what Equinox said, his uncle works for MS and they released it while knowing. All I'm saying is that I don't know what the big deal is about this firmware error when the RROD has been a much bigger problem. And its being acted upon as if it's much worse.

Still, MS has addressed the problem and offered fixing them FREE. Sony is pushing it off as nothing and saying "o yea, heres a revision i call ?.01."

Not everyone has RROD while Sony offered out the new firmware probably knowing the bugs.

Yea I wasn't lying or anything when i said my uncle works for MS. They learned about the RROD about a week before launch.
It was more trouble for them to take a few thousand 360's than go back and fix every single one of them. deff. less money involved as well.
it just upsets me that most with the ps3 and how they could be stupid enough to make faulty firmware that ruins their own system. you would think that they realize there loss in money from that issue.

Probably knowing the bugs? What makes ya say that.

They were probably so ready to copy the 360....i mean add "trophies" they didnt take the failure rate into much consideration.

Hes saying that Sony most likely already knew what they were releasing when they released it. and instead of telling the gamers that there was issues with it they just sent it out and let people use it without even caring.

Yea, but just because MS didn't care about that gamers, Sony is automatically subject to the same?
There is no proof. I mean the firmware problems didn't happen to a huge amount of people, it just might be possible that it didn't happen to them.
And "trophies" have been around longer than the 360 lol, just because you first saw it on the 360 it doesn't make it the first to have it. There are a whole slew of games that have rewards and challenges, it was just incorporated to every game with the 360. Why do you hate Sony and the PS3 so much lol?
