Hillary should not even be running because of the Whitewater controversy. She and Bill might have gone to prison over that but the files that would have been used as evidence disappeared for 2 years, exactly the amount of time that it takes for the statute of limitations to take effect. Public sympathy got her a senate seat; I hope the same does not get her back in the White House.

I am also not impressed at how she cried for loosing New Hampshire either. I do not want a crybaby president to represent my country when things do not go as planned.

There are several things wrong with the government in America and I would briefly touch on a few.

There are roughly 350 million Americans. Their opinions and views can not possibly be satisfied with 2 political parties.

Money drives everything. The Government seems to not serve the people but instead serves the special interests who can afford to purchase a voice.

The media is doing a disservice to the public by focusing on a candidates hairstyle religion or some other B.S. instead of what really matters.

For example:

More money was spent investigating Bill Clinton's Presidential Blow Job than was spent investigating Chandra Levy, September 11, or why Dick Cheney is wealthier now as Vice president of the country than he was as CEO of Halliburton.

The government is not completely at fault though. There is a large section of the population that feels the government should act like a second set of parents taking care of its children. I do not think that anyone that signed The Constitution had that in mind, in fact that is precisely what they wanted to get away from that and to avoid political factions. What happened?

Please google or ask about anything here you may not understand. It's a start. You can educate yourself better than the government ever could.

A republic is a state or country that is not led by a king, where the people of that state or country (or at least a part of that people) have impact on its government.
The term "republic" is sometimes used to describe a representative democracy which is exactly what we have here in America.

A representative democracy is a form of government founded on the principles of popular sovereignty by the people's representatives (think Congress or House of Lords/Commons).

The term republic may have many different meanings though it often simply means a state or country with elected leadership such as a president or prime minister.

no my point is we choose our own leaders(republic) but its not a democracy because people have NO SAY in the government, like no matter what you can't do anything about a bill thats being past, its a republic there for not a democracy. democracy means people have a say in government which people dont because when we pick our leaders they never do what the people want and we can't do anything about it.

Well it is a democracy, for we get to vote for the people will represent us aka carry our voice of views. That is the point of voting.

We are voting for someone to be our voice. We vote for someone that shares our views on things, therefore they are our voice and their opinions are heard.

I get what he is saying and I kind of agree. See we do get to choose our rep but we have so few to choose from we might as well have no choice. We are just picking the best of the worst. Seriously if they would let anyone run...not just what we get now...I bet we would pick a totally different kind of president. Also I bet more people would vote then. Most people that don't vote, don't because:

1. They don't understand the issues.
2. They don't want to pick the lesser of two evils.

(i would to apologize in advance for any spelling errors)

i am going to assume we are talking about the american government.

first of all i would like to adress the fact that yes, our government is corrupt and there are leaches everywhere.
man, idont even know were to start. there is so much coruption, since the beggining. did u know the reason we went to war with britan in the 1700's, the revolutionary war, was because george washington and patrik henry her plantationers and wanted land from the indians that the britsh law wouldnt allow. during the war general george washington burned thousands of native villages. and an example of some modern day corruption is the whole war thing. we are in a war with iraq. why? because george bush and dick cheny couldnt get all the oil they wanted from iraq. they (mostly bush) blamed iraq for the terrorist bombing. however the twin towers were bombed my a group of radical terrorists called alkida (i think i spelled that wrong). the leader of this group is osam bin laden. o yeah btw u know how we killed sudam husen? well the REAL reason y we killed him is because he knew too much information. he used to work for the CIA and was hired as an assasan to kill the dictator of iraq. he never succeded but he just knew to much and would not allow us to get were we wanted to be if he was alive. all of these things pervert the american government up untill 2001- 2002 ish we were the most respected country in the world.

even though all these things are true. i still love our government. but its sad ( :( ) how much a small group of people such as bush, chenney and others can make us look bad.

I see someone likes to quote Teddy Roosevelt. I would be interested in hearing about other governments if anyone feels free enough to comment.

I do not like that money is the unifying/motivating factor in politics either but for an example, If you were running for president how would you pay for all your bumper stickers, posters, people to work for you, TV commercials etc.?

There are many self serving politicians in power right now I believe that can be fixed but the people need to unite and come together and loudly scream they want change. So few do.

Most people do not seem to care because they do not see the issues as directly affecting them. I think many are frustrated because they feel that they do not have a voice but they absolutely do, they just don't use it.

Another part of the problem is the very media that is supposed to be monitoring the government is not focusing on the important issues. Worse yet we somehow we ended up with a red news source and a blue news source instead of an independent news source. How did that happen?

How can this be fixed?

Im posted in the united states, and Now a'day the government is sh*t. I am a believer of the Constitution and what we were founded on and in some aspects we are still that, {note that i say "some aspects" not all} Our Military is for the people and protects the people, its the Commander&chief who is the problem not our boys in uniform. Our Legal system is messed up for the soul fact that there are Corrupt people that work for the system and try to gain on there own agendas or "highs" for life it is not the legal system in itself that is wrong. What i am trying to get at is that there a very few people in power with Morals and instead of these "morals" that good every day people have. All corrupted people are after Self preservation of Income, happiness and power.

My definition of POWER -in the united states- :

Having multiple and large sums of money.
Being able to manipulate the general populace.
Being able to enforce what one wishes on others in there eyes.

p.s.
what is happiness ?

He doesn't have "super powers" and Christians aren't "crazy" like how you are portraying them.. The Bible states that God will come back and take those who believe in him back to heaven, while the rest will wait 7 years or so and if they changed their ways, they will go to heaven as well. By then the world will have NO government and the world will live in chaos with no authority and it will just be a world no one would wanna live in.. Some people actually believe in what IS true, so I'd think first before you flame something you no absolutely nothing about..
