Yea yea.. it just seems pretty stupid to me. And the beats and stuff are catchy in the raps, but they mean absolutely nothing. I could listen to just the instrumental but the lyrics are crap. And I can't figure out the meaning of a poem for the life of me! And not just old people care about what the song says, its people that actually care what the listen too? i guess. Well I'm 16 so I'm not old :P. The entire teenage population is going down, people are getting stupider and stupider and listening to anything, allowing lucky people to catch a break and make millions by making a song that *rhymes*

I odnt know how odl you all are but kid at me age (12-18) me being 14 want songs that rhyme and sound good, i dont give a damn about what is says i just want something that SOUND GOOD and rhymes, it can have the stupidest things in it but songs are for rhyming fnot story telling.

Dont mean to offend you, but this what i was referring to when i said the music was made for mindless zombies. Songs are supposed to have meaning. Theyre supposed to make people feel a certain way. Most of the songs now are all nursery rhymes and dont require any sort of thinking. Take Camron for instance...half his words that rhyme are made up and not even part of any type of language. For every artist thats aired on the radio today i can name a dude from my city that would smash them in a battle. I take it your not a huge fan of tupac or biggie then since songs arent for story telling.

Music isnt supposed to have meaning? Thats the dumbest thing i've heard in a while. Music is a form of art...The artist is supposed to feel something when they spit. If they dont feel anything then their listeners dont believe them. Simple as that.

since the day the game left g-unit, eminem stopped rapping, g-unit became less famous it seems like everyone started making crappy songs...

2006? Try since 1999...havent been able to purchase an album since then that i've been able to listen to from front to back. Whetever though, your from a different era, wouldnt expect you to really understand.

In this case I have to disagree with you in part. I do not know of which Camron song you are referring to; I have not heard anything from him since the 90s but making up words I believe is part of artistic license.

Snoop Dogg had the world saying "Fa'shizzle" and Webster's Still doesn't know what the f*** that means!

Getting back to the point I wanted to make, Jazz singers and other artists would use their voices like a musical instrument; In other words, make sounds with their voices that they thought sounded good and went with the music. I think that is original! I would not fault any artist for "keeping it fresh" especially if it sounds good.

Someone mentioned Eminem. I think his last good album was "Encore" back in 2004 someone in the crowd back me up if you agree. Eminem was popular because he rapped about something different, Vicodine and Suicide. Anyhow, I thought it was funny and definitely "fresh". In 2006 he came out with a psudogangster rap album called "The Re-Up" It was totally not his style in my opinion and I think he did it so that he could make the poor guys rapping with him a few dollars and nothing more. I checked it out from the library and returned it the same day! I debated whether or not to scratch it up or something so that no one would have to waste their time listening to it, you know as sort of a favor. Now that is what I call community service!

Read my posts under RIAA and you will understand where I am coming from. When a person is struggling and decides to release their frustrations artistically, that is when they do some of their best work, my opinion. Why was Def Row records so successful? Simple Suge Knight (CEO, Death Row)never paid any of his artists what they were worth and they were always pissed, broke and scared of their boss, so they put out some of their best work. On the Chronic 2000 album the song "Forgot About Dre" Dre states: "Mad at me cause I can finally afford to provide my family wit groceries". What do you think he was talking about?

I think radio stations need to open up the airwaves (and not just at midnight for garage bands) for anyone that has a CD and sounds good and let the public decide what we want to hear instead of letting the corporations that sell the records decide for us.

Rap is the worst thing in the world since Mac computers. Metal all the way. You can't go wrong with alternative metal/heavy metal/ melodic black metal (Dimmu Borgir FTW)

Most people think metal isn't music it is just screaming and load guitars.

Dude, you still listen to dimmu?

You've been going on with that for months now, Try some dying fetus ( Yes thats how its spelt in the name "fetus") or celtic frost or dragonlord.

Mind you, your dimmu collection isn't very large aswell.

I believe that statistic is made up aswell and people have believed it, try 75% of teenagers
