Meaning of Life/Why are we here, and How did we get here?

What if the everything is just a figment of imagination floating in something so vast, and unimaginable the human mind can not comprehend?

Or how does everyone know that im real? How do i know your real..If you think about it your only 100% sure you yourself are real. Im not sure how really to explain it, its difficult to imagine..

All I can say is, I'm quite real, and because you think and post, you are real too. As for creation, I believe a God (and possibly many lower ranking gods as in Greek religion) started the process that is the universe, designed life to adapt to any area, then let us be. Something had to create us, but science doesn't need to conflict with religion. Does any of what I just said make sense?

As a matter of fact it does . Stuff is hard to understand, and Science shouldn't be in conflict with religion. It is a high possibility that there is a high God, with lower ranking 'gods' such as Angels. The Arch Angel is the second in command I think (Biblically)

No one knows why we are here. Some say that we are to be tested by God to see if our souls are truly worthy of salvation. I do not buy into this because if God is all seeing and all knowing why waste the effort. If we have free will then we should be able to surprise God. If we have free will then destiny is just an illusion and if there is no destiny there can be no prophecy. Anyhow, let me get back on topic...

I do believe we were part of an alien ant farm, the true purpose of which I do not know. I do know that these aliens do not agree 100% with each other (The concept of the devil and demons). There are many sources to support this (various mythologies such as the Greek and Egyptian) but I will stick to the bible since it is the one that is most easy to verify.

It is also written in the bible that some of the aliens mixed with people.

Genesis 6:2

The sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.

How many ways can this possibly be interpreted?

Believe whatever you like and I will do the same.

My interpretation is that in those versus it says

Time came to pass and we began to multiply and daughters where born. The Sons of God, meaning the men that God created, saw these daughters and saw the were fair . So they took them as wives.

That is my simple interpretation. I'd be interested to see how you interpret it .

Read verse 4 of the same chapter:

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

Sounds to me like the Sons of God were more than mere mortals since they give birth to "heroes of old, men of renown" I am thinking superior genetics. Think Zeus and Hercules.

Oh, almost forgot anyone know what is a Nephilim?

"Nephilim" is a Hebrew word whose basic meaning is "those who have fallen." From where? Heaven or the sky? Space? God's grace?

Well you that if there is a high power aka God...is it not possible that he is an alien an alien is defined as a being existing outside of earth and it atmosphere...so could not a being from another place have come to earth with a knowledge of science like chesmisty and stuff and been able to create a life form...isnt that what god did anyway just in a more mystical way?

Let me throw a couple more things out here. What if we all started from a meteorite, when it entered the earth's atmosphere and it burned releasing foreign gases. On top of that organisms that were trapped in the rock could have been relaeased when it burned, and crashed on the land. So maybe our existence is just complete luck?

All of those responses are plausible. Not knowing for certain I can only go with the facts which I have presented to support my beliefs.

What we know of as the Greek mythologies also loosely collaborate with the bible and my interpretation of mankind's origins so there are at least 2 sources that concur with each other.

both describe "Giants or Titans" as roaming the earth and I do not think either was referring exclusively to dinosaurs. Both present mankind with the gift of knowledge from a power that was against the creator.

Please understand that I am not diminishing the role of "God", I am only putting the scriptures in terms that I understand and can follow and also keeping in mind that Stone or bronze age cultures would have no concept of modern ideas or the vocabulary to describe them.

yea thats fine, we don't really know 100% what all exactly happened. I have always been quite interested with Greek Mythology Zeus, Hades, Poseidon and Ares. It is cool to read about them, and watching the old Disney show Hercules .. That was a good movie too! I gotta watch that.
