I would MUCH MUCH rather pay $179 for a blu ray addon then a dang $400 Ps3 any day.

and do u mean PS3 is already beating 360? if so thats a huge lie. Sony cant physically catch up after 2 years in less then a year. I do admit Microsoft has some defective systems, but hey, everyone does.

Well about the only PS3 you can get now is the 40GB which is only $399. You can get the 80 GB sometimes which is $499? Yeah I think so. So thats cheaper than the 360 . I don't know why people dislike the PS3, I mean its got some good games CoD4, Assassins Creed, Ratchet and Clank, Kane And Lynch, Oblivion IV, GH3 and Resistance: Fall of Man is the leetness! The games are always the same price here for the same game on 360/PS3. So you spend +50 in the beggining of getting a PS3 instead of a 360, you still get the same games at a good price. The only downside is the Online play, which I guess if you play on live you get a little spoiled compared to the PSN. But it's not all that bad. You can still find a lot of people online playing on sports games and CoD4 and Warhawk.

Oh and he wasn't saying that the PS3 is literally beating the 360 in overall sales, but in current sales. But SONY get pretty close in another year if sales continue to increase. It's not that bad of a system lol. geez

I agree, I've never been a fan of Microsoft anyway, I am a little surprised at some peoples reactions on this forum, I would have thought PSP owners would want to back Sony, I've always planned on buying a PS3 and if I ever got a 360 for whatever reason (winning it or something) then i'd even sell it for a PS3, I had each of their systems so far and no reason to doubt them.

Their disks are larger allowing for more content, I think Sony is always good to it's customer and they've put a lot on the line for a system that to be honest, every hardcore gamer in the industry secretly wanted, now we have it everyone's focusing on the cost. Sony makes a loss on every system, the only way they'll break even is through the games. It's a steal, and has far more potential for great games (not just graphics) than the 360 (I'm referring to the specs of the PS3)..

And don't forget, you can MOD the PS3, so forget about the 360 being better for online content, that won't be the case forever...

Well I don't know about you guys but I love my 360. It's wayy funner to play to me. I'll never play a ps3 mroe then a 360, I could care less whether or not it has bluray or w/e, the 360 is just plain funner to play, better online, and well I just love it and all ym friends play games online with me and all my friends have 360's, so that's as good as it gets to me. I mean that's what video games are for.

Nothing. There is literally nothing. I hate whenever someone says that PS3 has better online than 360 or vise versa.
They are the same except for the price.
And whenever I say price, I mean 360's price because PS3 has free online play.

It has achievements, rep, a lot easier to navigate while you play video games, universal "gui" no matter what game you play so you get used to it quickly, private chat, video chat (im pretty sure ps3 doesn't have any of the last 2, but I could be wrong), better monitored services, and well I like it better because all my friends have 360's than ps3's, and the only time I really play is with my friends online so why should I get a console that I won't have anyone to play with? That would just be boring and a waste of money for me. If I knew more about ps3's online play I could name more things that the 360 has that the ps3 doesn't. But I'm going off when I played rainbow six on my friends ps3 and it was so much worse then playing it on my 360, from what I remember. Trust me, there not the same at all. Just the achievements alone is a big difference, which is a very cool part, because it actually gives you an objective to work towards with your friends. That and you can tell how much people play by looking at that, it has a very detailed preferred player/ file complaint system and such too. That's what builds up your rep when you play, but like it asks you why you liked the other player, or why you didn't and it will make an attempt to not pair you up with that person the next game. And of course simple stuff like viewing your friends friend list and just stuff like that. If I had a ps3 I would come up with a much more comparative list, but I'm going off not that much knowledge of the ps3's online services though. But from what I remember I don't see how you could possibly say that ps3's online service is better or the same.

And about the rrod, I don't really see anything to worry about it. I mean I have a intercooler on my 360, and it is perfectly fine. It's been 2 years since it's release and if M$ hasn't fixed that problem yet, then they are crazy. Either that or it's the persons fault that their xbox has rrod. Just don't play it the whole entire day you should be good to go. But I like to play video games with my friends, and that's what the 360 does better then the ps3 for me. So I love my 360 wayyy better then a ps3.

each person has there own opnion on which is better...there will always be a dispute as long as there is money to be made in the gaming market...its just a matter of opnion

Light_Alistor, I have an intercooler too and i left my 360 on for 12 hours strait.It was not even hot! (just a little warm). Still works like the 1st day i got it. Microsoft has dramatically fixed the problem. Not all the way but by a lot.

microsoft even officially STATED they KNOWINGLY shipped DEFECTIVE units. you can trust that? MS has had quite a few problems lately in terms of lawsuits including; people with memberships unable to log on to servers and disc slaying
