Why is it so easy for you to believe some persons music or Youtube video about how the government is railroading its citizens? What caused you to have so much mistrust for the government? Was it the Kennedy assasination? The moon landing? Weren't those a bit before your time? If you had the option, what country would be the ideal choice for you to live in?

The idea of "The Government" has been around for ages, people have always had a general distrust of governing bodies, ever since.... well... kings.

And if you think the American government hasn't done anything wrong, you should look in a history book.

Over the years, the United States government has been responsible for the following:

-Capturing of African slaves to be used for trade.
-Racial treatment of European immigrants, as well as denying them the right to form unions.
-Sentencing certain groups of people to death without due process of law
-leading a "witch hunt" which was really just a terror tactic in order to find "suspected communists" (Kinda like what we are doing with chinese and middle eastern "spies")
-supporting the idea that public segregation is constitutional
-supporting a congressional act that states it is constitutional to keep Californians of Japanese ancestry in "internment" camps during World War II
-Gave the okay to assassinate countless world leaders only to place a ruthless dictator in charge
-Holding a very harsh foreign policy towards Latin America
-Doing absolutely nothing during a time of crisis for the American Economy (AKA the Stock Market Crash and Hoover)

These are just a handful of things that come to mind that (with the exception of the first point) have happened between 1900 and now.

what do i care what they put in the water...i drink underground spring water which we pump u...which is perfect except for the higher amount of calcium...so meh

Everybody knows that governments are corrupt.
But I don't think the water will really hurt you unless you mass consume it.

Hey I never said the government is perfect after all it is only run by people trying to make a living right? I mean I am sure our parents weren't perfect either, but we still love an respect them for the most part right? I said what I said because it seems to me that a lot of people focus on the negative parts of the government and linger on mistakes that were made in the past instead of reflecting on some of the positive things that the government has done.

Back to the fluoride in the water issue, there is plenty of evidence from the ADA that fluoride helps prevent tooth decay. You can even buy fluoride in the grocery store if you don't think there is enough in your toothpaste or in the water, look into purchasing a product called Act. I looked at the website and it made a compelling case for its view but I had 2 issues.

1. I have never known or heard of anyone that used toothpaste properly that ended up with teeth as bad as the example shown on the site. If fluoride is as bad as stated there should be more widespread examples of this not just one or two isolated cases. Find an old person with their original teeth and make your own conclusion. I have meet a handful with all their choppers and if there were issues with brushing and fluoridated water it would certainly show in this demographic. When I look at the example of the picture on the site I see a person that could have a calcium or other deficiency or a smoker that exercises poor brushing habits.

2. I had an issue with the accusation suggested by the site that the government puts fluoride in the water to make the public dumb and drop IQ scores. There just simply is no evidence to support this.

I do not doubt that too much fluoride in some form is harmful; just like consuming too much vitamin A or eating too many apples ect. can kill you. It is unfair and even ridiculous to think that a government run by, people (citizens) that seems barely organized enough to run itself at times, is organized enough to launch a campaign to dominate the governed by putting additives in the water.

The connections to fluoride are weak, and I'll explain why. Fluorine stays in your system and adds up a tiny bit at a time, over a long time. After too much is ingested, it becomes bad. So I'm not sure how much water you plan on drinking in your life... but if all of it has fluorine/ fluoride in it...

That's all I'm saying.

Alex Jones, if you know him, hired scientist who studied fluoride and concluded that if a person drank normal water that contains 0.01% fluoride per gallon (if im not wrong, i forgot it was a while ago when i read it), then is 10 year you would lose 20 IQ points.
Now i might be wrong, i honestly dont remember right, and i cant find the article on his site, maybe someone can see if i am right about this study.

I hate conspiracys, what Que said is great and just because there are bad things about government doesn't mean ours is sh**. People think too much. I drink bout he most water out of most people I know and I am smarter than all of them. I have common sense more than all of them. I think you need to drink a sh** load of water to become stupid with teh fluorine. Just because fluorine is in the water doesn't mean that the government put it there. Stuff doesn't get 100% filtered out of our water in the first place. I guess there is some fluorine in drugs and stuff that people can consume and all the waste from brushing your teeth goes down the drain. And you know you drink that same water except it gets filtered.

i just heard on the news they talking about the things in our water in the city that i live it. And i heard them talk about fluoride and i was like "wtf is fluoride" so i researched it and those are the stuff that came up.


anyway im SURE they do because i went on our water companies site and they said they put it in our water because is "stopped cavities"....and if they put it there, this means the government knows about it!!!!!
