How to mod a PS2 with ease. There are other ways this is the easiest!

Needed:

Mod chip
Fat PS2
Network adapter
1 120 gig Maxtor hard drive
Special disk. I recommend FreeHD Loader get it from the usual sources.

Once you have all the parts it should be pretty self explanatory how to do it. I am in a hurry so if there are any questions just ask.

There are a few I do not remember specifics of course there was a NES and I think a Genesis. I think I had a SNES but it ran choppy. None others come to mind right now I am sure an extensive Google search would turn up more but not many. I remember the deal with the emulators was that you had to have the ROMs on the disk that the emulator was on so that made it a pain.

I have not messed with my PS2 in like 2 or 3 years. Once I got into Xbox I pretty much shelfed my $ony especially since Micro$oft pretty much had the same library of good games, pretty much. The Xbox had so much more potential for customization as far as software and emulators was concerned. I still fire up the box from time to time. XBMC rocks!

I have a Fat PS2v9 and a Slimv16 with screen. My slim has a smoked crystal case. My fat is modded with DMS3 and the Slim with DMS4 I should really switch the chips but I have not had the desire.

IF it works don't fix it!

Re: best ps2 games

Modding a PS2 can be surprisingly simple with the right setup. Using a fat PS2, network adapter, 120GB Maxtor HDD, and FreeHD Loader, you're good to go. No soldering madness—just plug, load, and play. This setup lets you run games from the HDD smoothly, extending your PS2's life. It’s amazing how modding communities keep retro consoles alive.
