Yeah let's also make Bowser a playable character for a Mario game... I think that's a terrible idea. The ending would either have the enemy beat the main character, which wouldn't happen in order for the franchise to continue, or it would force you to lose to the "good guy", which is probably what would happen. Who wants to play as Dr. Robotnik in a Sonic game if you know you will lose in the end lol?

You'd have to completely write an entirely new script for them instead of making various characters tackle the storyline in a different way. No developer will do that. Now, say you have "alternate endings" for the characters like Tekken or Street Fighter games have been... eh, that's one thing, but those are fighting games - not platformers with one main protagonist.

Whether it did good or bad I really don't think the ratings were based on the fact that
they used the main antagonist as one of the main players >_>

You tell me to stop with this whole "negativity" yet you keep attempting to make us look like idiots.
Stop trying to cause trouble. Can't make a damn post without some moron making the worst out of it.

I liked Sonic Adventure 2 :( Probably the last sonic game I played as a kid, but it was still enjoyable.

Although I think constant negativity about the forum itself and staff is completely different then negativity about a video game XD

I'm talking in general of him always having a negative attitude towards us in his posts.
He needs to calm down.

The fact was that they were able to do it and they actually did. I think it did bad simply because it was a 3D game. Most Sonic games in 3D failed whether they were about riding on surf boards, collecting rings, or raising a choa.
I think if they kept the same idea but ported it to 2D, it would do incredibly well. Just like Sonic Advanced.

Playing Sonic is about being FAST. Fast gameplay no interruptions. Just the tv and your reflexes!

Hopefully this new one brings back the nostalgia from zipping through levels on the Genesis.

I don't think it's going to beat Sonic 3 though.

Look, I think we can all agree that we all want a decent sidescroller with not alot of charecters, like Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Super Sonic and all the charecters from Sonic 1, 2 and 3. with a decent battle mode with the other charecters such as shadow, rouge, eggman ect.
