that controller looks ill

if the NES controller had a slightly more rounded shape it would be the best controller ever, i agree 2 buttons and d-pad is where its add

just need a button to Jump and to Attack. thats all you need (well for a lot of games)

2 buttons might be enough for some games other fighting games like Double Dragon and Final fight need 3 buttons.
Street fighter really needs 4 at a minimum. I think that for every 2 button game example you can think of I can think of more examples of at least fighting games that need more.

That is why I think 2 button controllers are really obsolete.

It is impossible to have just 2 buttons nowadays. Lol it would be hilarious like if they made it so you could only use 2 buttons and the directional pad while playing halo or something.

The two top buttons L and R are the best thing that ever happened to controllers.

Nah, that's why marvels of engineering such as this were created.

I still think the SNES controller was better. On the Genesis the extra buttons always got in the way whenever I was in a button mashing fury.

L and R buttons were before their time on the SNES pad, and I think that's a negative for SNES. 6 button pads are where it's at. Street Fighter = Low, Mid, and High punch/ kick? - 6 buttons.

Though I can totally understand where you are coming from though I think the buttons are too close on the 6 button face configuration.
I like the shoulder buttons SNES introduced because they are accessible and can't be pressed inadvertently.
I think at least for me the 6 button face works with larger setups like some specialty joysticks that were introduces specifically for fighting games.

While on the topic of fighting games I think Tekken was great because they went down to 4 buttons, One button for each weapon, HYAH!

I understand your point of view too que, but you say not pressing shoulder buttons inadvertently is important to you? You like the 4 button setup? Oh wait, I think that I've seen that somewhere before...

Anyway....to me the PS3's triggers feel weird.I have honestly only played around with the PS3 controller at walmart tho.

360 controller is like a dream in ur hands. Very responsive and well thought out. I hated the XBOX controller (whats the point in black and white buttons???).
ahh my bad lol
yah the bottom triggers are weird ill give you that

but the wireless xbox controllers way a lot for a controller, i mean seriously compare it to PS3 ones...

How much is the approx. weight of each? Because I really don't think man that an extra pound is going to hurt anyone. I mean, I don't really like real light controllers either. Take the Wii remote for an example, light, and can easily through your arm out of place/ destroy your tv. I know maybe a larger wiimote could wreak more havoc, but at least I could tell if I am holding it or not. I mean their really isn't much to a controller, other then feel and weight. The 360 controller weighs a little, and feels excellent, I never did mind the dreamcast controller when I was a kid. It's too narrow, my hands are to close, the little part you put your hand on is like 2 ridges pointing straight out and very skinny. The start button was also in a student place too, like most controllers anyways. But the ps3 controller is real, and not as comfortable for me. The triggers got screwed up, and its to short and blocky compared to the 360 controller. Well theres my 10 cents.

I prefer the PS2 controller to the PS3, well the L2 and R2 controllers are kinda cool on the PS3, but I like the feel of the PS2 controller more.

A few months ago I lifted up a N64 controller again and I played Super Mario 64, man that controller is so weird. I was so used to it when I was little, but it has a weird build.
