Yes it seems that they may be shared on your network. Perhaps that means other people can see all of the massive amounts of porn you download too!!
As for "how" to enable shared cookies between two computers, I don't remember exactly how because that's not how I've ever decided to setup my networks - and networking is a weaker aspect of my vast computer knowledge. In any sense, I am thinking it is a setting in either your network and sharing center (on the administrative computer, not the slave), or the modem/ router that you are using that can enable shared cookies on the network.
