To be honest, yes, the track was not necessarily safe, but why would people expect that a guy would mess up and go too high on a particular corner causing him to come in shallow, hit his head, flip out of control, and die? The odds are slim that the accident would have ever even been considered as a possibility. I will allow SGG's post to remain unless vividly expressed otherwise via Private Message.

There wasn't really anything he could do.
When you go at a speed that fast, your blood rushes to your back and to your feet, leaving you unconscious.
So yes it was the tracks fault.

And yes! 2 golds for Canada so far.

Just won the gold in mens hockey.
Canada's got the most golds won ever in a winter olympics.

Definitely a day to be proud.

14 Gold! 26 Medals in total! Congrats Canada! Now for the closing ceremonies hopefully they are better then the opening!

I was so pissed off when USA scored that goal, but then the all mighty Crosby comes in and saves the game.
If it wasn't for Crosby, we wouldn't have made the most gold records.

Yeah closing sucked, however I liked how they brought the last pillar up at the start.
Still this was an amazing experience to come to my home town, I'll never forget it.

Vancouver is no doubt the best city in the world.
