I mean he brings up a good point, why would god put that tree there if he doesnt want them to eat the apple out of it, when he KNOWS in advance that Adam would eat the apple. Makes no sense.
well the story would go that he put the tree there and told adam & eve to not eat the fruit, but they defied God and listened to the snake who convinced Eve to offer the apple to Adam. and Adam eventually gave in and ate the apple
the point of the story being, in a broad explanation, is that God told them specifically as the only rule was to not eat from the tree but they defied him and went against his rules, so they were thrown out of paradise/the garden. Pretty simple, if you aren't gonna follow the rules then you gotta get out. and if God knew or not what they were gonna do its still up to them and their free will to actually go through with taking the apple and actually eating it. The story would be stupid if God was like hey i'm throwing you out of the garden because i know in the future you'll end up eating the fruit. its just a story to say if you go against God's rules then you aren't going to be allowed in a sweet place like the garden, its your choice. (that is if you believe in God, which i personally do not, but its not hard to understand this stuff)
thats just the basic explanation of the story, though there are many hidden meanings and metaphors throughout the story.
and also a side note many actually think that the Apple is actually a Fig and the tree was a Fig Tree, as the location of where the garden would be if it were real would be a place where Fig trees would be the main fruit not apples. not that it has anything to do with this, just thought i'd throw some random knowledge in there haha
also there was a woman who came before Eve, and her name was Lilith, but she was crazy so they replaced her with Eve.
i don't think you people get the point of the Bible.
Its not meant to be a factual story or biography. its a book that gives stories to use as a guide to living moral and ethical lives. like in Adam & Eve if you are asked not to do something in someones home then don't disobey them or you may be kicked out. Every single story in the Bible portrays people dealing with decisions of morality ... i don't even read the Bible and its not hard to see that its not meant to be a biography and for all the aspects of the stories to be taken literally.
