True. There is more and it's gone unsaid. The truth is that for almost an hour crait and I were discussing what is acceptable for the forum and I said that the mickey mouse avatar is acceptable and he disagreed. Then, crait told me that he goes on the forum at school and he was saying that he could face punishment if someone from school saw that. He mentioned he could get a referral, which in my school means a detention usually as well. He mentioned that he'd also be removed from NHS, National Honor Society. After hearing his side, I MADE SURE to notify him that since he complained that I would be FORCED to contact the guy and take action.

Then, he wanted to put up his avatar, and I said, ok, do it. Put "f**k" in your avatar in 28 point bold-faced letters and that we'll see how long it takes staff to recognize it and others to complain. I also mentioned that it will only look bad on him in the end, which it has. He guilt-tripped me into basically feeling sorry that my forum could possibly lead to him being kicked out of an extra-curricular club at his high school, and then, in my administrative opinion, crait puts up a much worse picture which stays up for 5 hours after being recognized by a staff member as opposed to less than 2 from the other incident.

I was trying to allow crait to bury himself, in a way, to force him to see how these sorts of things are dealt with in the forum... as my way of thanks for him keeping me up for 2 hours in the early morning hours about a 9 post noobie with a questionable avatar when I had to get up for work in 5 hours. I guess people just can't see that both people were blatantly and obviously wrong... which was the point from the beginning.

His point is that you stood up for his avatar, when if he did the same thing, there would be no negotiating, and that it would be gone on the spot.

Essential saying that the other member is better?

I know they both got removed, but I can see his point.

There doesn't need to be a negotiation when I tell him specifically to do it and see how long it takes for it to be taken down. The other aspect of the "unsaid story" is that he was questioning my abilities as an administrator and how I handle people breaking the rules. Then, when I go out of my way and purposely wait an extra long period of time in crait's favor... he says that I "didn't stick up for him" or whatever. That's all sh*t. I didn't stick up for the other guy either in the open forum, so what does he think I owe him? Truthfully, I owe both a 3 day ban for breaking the rules... perhaps giving crait a worse punishment for A.) breaking the rules after being a member longer than I have as well as having 3,200+ posts... he knows better, and B.) posting his avatar after making such a fuss about it and posting it AFTER I had already handled the other avatar.

If anyone wants to question my administrative ability on this matter, I'm sure I can come up with a good answer for them.

I gotta agree with DPM on this one. crait had no right to post the avatar after that happened with toolman. Plus, you just don't argue with the admin. It's disrespectful, which is just adding on to the blatant disregard for what he said to crait.
Each of you has a remote to blow up the other boat. At midnight, I blow you all up. If, however, one of you presses the button, I'll let that boat live. So, who's it going to be: Harvey Dent's most wanted scumbag collection, or the sweet and innocent civilians? You choose. Oh, and you might want to decide quickly, because the people on the other boat might not be so noble.

OMG that's so hilarious! hahaha

But I'll lock this topic now that everything has been dealt with. Thanks for the "happy ending", Alex.
