Yea I do. DPM I told you that it is possible to have the feeling of sadness and not surprise. The infidelguy likes to add the word surprise in there quite a bit when the Bible doesn't say anything about it. You can feel sadness and not surprised. But dude DPM what is there to cite to prove his statements are false? They are opinions they aren't fool proof facts, they are just his beliefs. You can't just denounce what he says even though it is just taken out of his donkey and he didn't care to tell the whole story about the scripture.

I believe there is an ultimate evil that hinders and well.... makes bets with a greater good for the well being of humanity..... and i believe that ultimate evil was made by the ultimate good.... because he was bored. Thats the way i like to think about, that way my conscience feels less important on a cosmic scale

No, I don't think they are in hell because God wanted them to, IF they are in hell then thats because they refused to accept God in their hearts. Although some might have, but you don't have to be a hardcore Christian to get to heaven, all you have to do is believe and thats it, no church or anything and you can still go to heaven.

EDIT: And I don't think they are devils, I'm not insane.

Nah not all Christians are crazy extreme hardcore Jesus freaks. A moderate population are laid back that believe in God, and don't slander other groups or anything and don't wish harm on non Christians or w/e.

Ok, then how, or rather, why, would a God, ANY God, display feelings at all? That's what the Infidel Guy is asking. He isn't saying that the Bible specifically lists the word "surprised" to describe Jesus, but that's left to be implied, especially regarding the whole Adam and Eve story.

The Infidel Guy's second main point, is asking why would Jesus hurt his own people? Again, referencing Adam and Eve, why would he have ever put the apple in the tree? And if it was a snake's doing, by work of Satan, wouldn't that mean that Satan is more cunning than Jesus?

All of it sounds like rubbish.

How can you acknowledge that the Bible is made up of stories to teach younger kids how things work, while also crediting it as fact? How could God not have wanted to harm Adam and Eve with that apple? If you apply the "rule" statement made earlier, that if you "break the rules you're out of paradise", that means that Eve had free will, not faith, and if faith was guiding her, that means God wanted to punish her.

Just about any biblical story can be looked at from multiple angles and STILL be crooked no matter how you look at it, yet it seems that Christians, in general, don't take time to question those faults at all.

I was just thinking to myself, how could you not feel a feeling? Even indifference is a feeling. Sort've like how in order to hate someone you have to care for someone. I don't know maybe I'm just not thinking hard enough.

O yea, about the snake thing. I don't think the devil is more "cunning" then God. He simply tempted Eve and Eve gave in. The bible says God doesn't lie, and he said not to eat the from the tree, so yea. I guess that's how it went down. :p

but you know one thing has been always interesting.

If god is so powerful, why doesnt he destroy evil and the devil?
I have heard religious people give me answers but they were very irrational responses.

He WILL sentence them to the Lake of Fire for an eternity in the end, but now they are just here I guess for a test against mankind, if you aren't worthy enough to STAY AWAY FROM EVIL (how easy is that?) then you shouldn't be in heaven.

Okay so, I goto catholic school and I have been told by some teachers that the bible is made up stories.... Really if you ask me it doesnt make sence at all.... killing people is wrong but god does it all the time, I mean did he really need to sacrifice his son to save us he could have just done it himself and why can he just make another son. I think the bible was just made up in the medevil times so people wont kill each other or w.e... I mean all religions before christainity, islam, jew, ect have bassically been dissproven... personally i think buddists have it all figured out. They dont really have a god just a higher being all they do is just meditate and try to get peace within themselfs that makes the most sence if you ask me.
