A few pages back I posted my simple but what I believe to be accurate explanation of the very general types of people in this world. I caught a little flack but I recently learned that I was not alone in this sort of thinking so paraphrasing a bit I will share with you what was said:

It is very easy for any system of thought to take advantage of our fears and insecurities, to assure us all is well and that all will be taken care of.

Do not blame religion (or government), blame your own fears and insecurities which have allowed religion, government and other disempowering systems of thought to flourish.

When you see your fears for what they are and master your emotions then and only then will you truly be free.

your saying atheist become atheist because they want people to hate them?
I became atheist because i started to think for myself and question my reality instead of letting my pastor tell me how to live my life and do things.
And to me religion and god seemed impossible after hours of researching and tihnking

ummm it says i wasnt refering to u and also im talking more about a teenage rebellion sort of thing.....

Definately, teenagers are stupid nowadays, they get dumbed down by stupid comedy movies and shows like Family Guy (although I am a big fan :wink:) And it is now "cool" to be stupid. Being a "nerd" is doing your homework.

I'm not trying to be racist or anything, but me personally go to a predominately black school and it is definitely different based on your race. At least with my experiences as a whole (there can be exclusions) but as a whole it seems to me the white community look down on "smart" people that actually want a good job in their future while the black community look at say me (white) as being smart is a good thing. Like, they believe they need an education, and they believe it's cool that I'm pretty smart compared to them (4.5 gpa, beat that farq :P). So as a majority in my experience in Charlotte, it is also a racial issue. For the most part if you actually enjoy doing your homework that is looked down upon, but say if your just an average dude thats smart then your pretty cool in the black community but pretty nerdy or geeky or w/e in the white community. I don't know about anyone of yall, but that is my experience.

Sorry if this didn't make sense but it's late and I don't feel like using proper grammar :p

It makes sense to me. There is a census coming up in the next 2 years and everyone that participates will unknowingly be representing their ethnic background. The truth is that the government whether it realizes or not is keeping people segregated into groups by associating numbers with ethnicity. People follow along with this and sooner than later believe it like in music for example "black music" or in film such as "chick flix" or numbers for criminal activities. If you read them you would think that 12% of the population is responsible for 90% of all crime. All of these things target specific groups unfortunately people are sometimes forced to identify with these groups. To take it further there are still "Black" barber shoppes and there are "White" barbershops if you do not believe me visit Pensacola Florida sometime. Also to keep this on topic Martin Luther King said that the most segregated hour in America was 10 am on Sunday morning. That is when most church goers are in church. I do not know if you reading this go to church but I want everyone to notice that people of specific ethnic groups worship together. Back to my point, I do not think this is the governments intent but governmental statistical data just makes it easier to drive a wedge into society. Instead of focusing on how we all differ we should focus on how we are the same.

Meh, I don't care if you don't like my post rox fox, it was the truth. Anyone could go to my school and take a poll or whatever and it would be the same as what I said. I'm not going to point out only the likenesses either, because what I said is just a fact of life, or at least mine. I don't know about anyone else's life but that is what I have gathered from my own facts. I didn't listen to the media like a sheep or goat or w/e yall said, I did my own studying. You can't escape the fact that people of different ethic backgrounds act different, they also act the same too. But I'm not going to go talking about ethnicity now. That's the truth for my life, and you can't say it isn't because you don't go to my school now do you :)

@farq
How do you beat me? I still have strait A's, the only reason my gpa is only 4.5 is because I had most of my honors classes last semester :p I only have 2 this semester so in actuality I did do better then you because I got strait A's. Hah beat that :p But yea they say the exact same thing you said. It's not like black people look down on me, they think cool or w/e. But if anyone in my school looked down on my it's the handful of white people, and that is definitely true.
