Because everything that is invented today is not done for the sake of discovery but only for the sake of profit. If it costs more money to pull it out of the water than it is worth then there is no desire to continue on with it no matter how interesting the discovery may be.

This is why cheaper and cheaper ways of going into space are being investigated because there are vast almost infinite resources out there, way more than there are in the ocean. Also space has a strategic value that is difficult to put a price on.

Right now there is an agreement among nations not to conquer space and take it over and keep it to yourself. And about the only one doing much space exploration is the US. But others put up satellites but theres no telling what else we are doing.

I'm pretty sure that the space program itself doesn't make any money, we just fund it heavily and it gets side money. It's not like we're finding gold coins on the moon or anything. Those million/ billion dollar projects aren't funded by the discoveries we make in space.

I think it's perfectly fine to wonder why we haven't explored the seas and oceans more, especially when we say that the "ocean is the origin of all life on Earth."

That is partially correct. Does anyone here remember the Nintendo Power Glove? This was originally intended to operate the cargo arm on the shuttle.

Anyone ever heard of the Strategic Defense Initiative (Star Wars for short)? This program gave way to a lot of new technology like high power lasers.

Defense contractors such as Hughes, Northrop/Grumman McDonnell/Douglas etc. work side by side with NASA developing the weapons of tomorrow, and not just weapons lets talk about the satellites that route calls and provide us television and Internet. Manufacturing experiments are done in space to find new processes for creating foods chemicals and other things that terrestrial gravity might not allow in the lab. Yes the shuttle gets those up there too and none of that is done for free.

Space is not the final frontier it is the beginning!

My theory is that a superior alien race is conductiong an experiment to see if they can create new civilisations to use as weapons against another alien race. For our planet they started by placing some bacteria on earth and it slowly evolved into humans and very other animal. Then the humans started to become civilisations. But we were phailing at life. So the aliens helped us out by giving us fire and creating pyramids and stuff like that. So along we went evolving and stuff then we stopped evolving again. So the aliens hinted that we should find a source of power and they gave us electricity. Then we evolved to the point where people started following religions (which the aliens made up) just to see how we would cope with it and to see if we could follow orders. We totally fell for their plan and began fighting over religion. Then we just went on evolving and fighting.

Since the aliens can see that we can follow orders without reason (Religion) we will be taken to the alien planet to be used as an army against other aliens.

(BTW I made that up for the lols. Sorry if I offended any one with the religion thing)
i totally agree with you :)

there was this dude, like i said at the beginning of the topic, who said the exact same thing

He claimed to be part of the illuminati and said that while being part of them, they interacted with people from different worlds who had told these people what the purpose of humans are and that we are all an experiment to see how religion can effect a civilization.

Amazingly this man dies in a car accident, and it was no normal car accident, i mean this dude gets run over by a truck, and the driver of the truck never goes to jail.

but just like i said, I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE!!!
i saw all of it on youtube, so it might be false information and i ask anyone who knows anything about this man to tell me

Farq what do you think of the Clintons? You would be interested in all the deaths of people that they interacted with.

But you can't say the same thing for conspiracy theories, ;).
This is a sig. You may think that there is something to it, but in fact it is just an ordinary sig.
