it seems dumb for a game that links the resistance 2 and 1 storylines to come out after 2

Well, it's kinda like what Kingdom Hearts did.
The GBA version filled in a lot of that gaps between the two PS2 versions. And it came out after.. If I'm not mistaken.
Maybe you're a bad guy though? And it's the same as number 1, but from the other perspective?

u play as a good guy who was forced to kill his brother turned chimera..... and your researching y the chimera have abandoned their conversion centers... i wish it was gonna be in first person... i dont care wat ppl say im fine with that type of control scheme....still 3rd person will look pretty sweet...

Well, before it was invitation only, the price of the tickets were really cheap. Maybe 50 bucks or so.
They probably thought they'd make more money if they cut out regular, everyday people, and get only rich/important people to come.
Think about it.
News crews or people higher up in the game business would almost always be able to get in and wouldn't have to mess around with what they would call n00bs or fanboys and E3 would make a lot more money.

If I got invited to E3 I wouldn't want to pay $750. But whatever.

Be invited is to sometimes random guests or people such as G4 (its free its an invite), if you didn't get an invite, you and want to go you pay the $500+ dollars.
