Okay, so, your analogy: I believe your analogy is absurd. Yes, of course, rarely guests may come over and shift your house or something and it'll make you mad. I remember on Malcom in the Middle, their grandmother came and did that but this is different. The immigrants do not change or try to change anything. Like Brent said, there's no loss for the television station or radio station broadcasting in different languages. There's only good that comes from it. Most people that listen to the stations speak both languages anyways.
Plus, they're not inviting themselves... We encourage all kinds of foreigners to come and live in this country.
In America and most countries, you're supposed to clean up after your pets unless they mess in the middle of the woods or something. You just assumed that they come from another country because they didn't say anything and you assumed they didn't speak English. I think that was pretty s-word-y of the lady but you can't just assume she didn't speak English and came from a country that doesn't respect other people or peers.
You should have stopped her if she was disrespecting you at all.
Do you work at Petsmart? I mean, if you can't require them to clean it up maybe she was just trying to leave so she wouldn't have to if she didn't know that or maybe she was embarrassed.
I kinda understand when you say you want immigrants to be like the country they're visiting. I don't want someone coming here sticking up their middle finger in an elementary school or anything. I think that we should tell the immigrants what to do, but instead, we should tell them, or suggest, what not to do. I know that's how I would want to be treated.
I don't really understand why you told the story about welcoming someone to America. What were you trying to say? Or even, what were you trying to ask him? You asked him where he was from because you wanted to relate his looks to where his ancestors were from. Just because his ancestors are from one country doesn't mean that he is and therefore, why would welcome him to America if you didn't know what country he's lived in or came from. Maybe he lived in America his entire life.
