can use xlink kai with out wifi max?

will i want to play mosnter hunter freedom 2 and pursuit force online but u can only do it locally, so i found out about xlink kai and went on youtube looking at the tutorials and all of them require a wifi max.
wifi max is for people without routers, but i use a router, so can i use xlink kai without wifi max or is it a must have?

does no one know the answer to this haha?

Haha...don't double post.
It's only been a day. Yes you should be able to use a wireless router. As long as your psp is using a access point on your local network so it can connect through your computer.

What do you need a tutorial for? Why don't you stop using youtube and try their website... I'm sure they have a FAQ somewhere. Just connect yur psp to your access point, join a game on xlink kai or xbconnect, then in your game go to system link or local or w/e its called, and join the game on your psp. You might have to select an option somewhere for xlink or xbconnect to find your psp on your network first though.

Yea, while I was making that post I started thinking about how is the psp even going to communicate to the computer? Heck I dunno know now. But I based my answer off when I used my modded xbox to play on both xbconnect and xlink and I just had them hooked up to a router. But if all you need to do with the psp is bridge your connection to your computer then in theory all you need is not a wifi max but any usb stick or other device that allows you to create a access point without the need of a wireless router that is bridged through your computer. But that didn't make sense since the xbox works through a router perfectly fine. So all I have to say is, check the website :p
