Not to get into your personal life/ finances or anything, but what kind of price range are we talking about here?

DUUUUUUUUDE take my dream guitar

alexi-600, its an esp ltd, so you know it will shred to the limit! its here

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ ... sku=516782

I have a jackson dk2m, and i really love it, but jackson was sold to fender..not that anything is wrong with fender though.

I would pick an alexi sig. model, or a randy rhoads model...But thats my choices.

That alexi-600 is a great choice for that price range. I really like the white model. You kind of have to compare what you really like in a guitar. Many people really like a rosewood finish on the fretboard and the alexi-600 features an ebony fretboard... but if you want great sound and a nice "wow" factor in a retro-looking package that feels good to play... go for it.

I don't, I just know about them. To be honest, I study a lot. Don't ask me why, I just do. I don't watch movies or TV. Instead, I read non-fiction books and articles. Call me crazy, but knowledge is power. I do play piano self-taught, and I'm quite good, but if anybody asked me what note was G I wouldn't know. Any musical talent I have is strictly by ear.

Guitar Hero on the other hand...

Right now I'm really busy but I would suggest any type of gibson guitar not just as a personal choice but as one of the best guitar makers out there. Plus with that price range you will be fine with almost getting anything from them.

Not saying anythings bad with gibson..but if your thinking about going around the les paul route; there REALLY heavy when standing up (compared to a lot of other guitars they are)

Although i do like those explorers!
