And as far as the chickens go... they're cute now, but when they get older they're mean and violent. But maybe that's just my experience.

I've been raising chickens for about a year now and never has one attacked.
Except for Url and Kermit when they attack my dog.

How do you protect them against predators?

I keep them inside.
And actually, one of them died the Thursday after I got them.
It's a long story, actually. No, it isn't.
I crushed one when I stepped on it accidentally.
My heart was crushed too because I loved that little chick soooo much!
I got a new one, though. It's black.
I haven't gotten any pictures of her. I'll make a new thread with more pictures of the two I have now.
