Axis & Allies

Axis and Allies is an old board game. You know the kind that doesn't need electricity?

Anyways, the game is strategy and is set in WWII. If anyone is familiar with the game below is a link to it in Java format.

Yes you can go buy the "official" computer version of the game at Best Buy but it isn't anything like the original board game. I would really recommend getting the board game at Toys R us or Amazon and inviting people over for hours of strategic fun.

If you have never played the board game don't get the java version it helps to have a foundation of the game mechanics. If War simulators are your thing and you insist on learning how to play, you can find the official board game rules here:

Experienced players can wrap it up in as little as 3 hours.

Never played it, my friend might have - he's a huge history buff. I did enjoy a little bit of risk though but I never got into it much.

I have never played Risk but I keep hearing this comparison a lot.

I have played Axis and Allies with Risk veterans and even though there are some loose similarities, overall they are both individual strategy games that stand on their own.

Such a long game. 21+ recommended IMO. You need alcohol to accomplish a worthy game.

Yea yea yea and you NEED alcohol at a poker game too right?

I am an Axis and Allies veteran and I can easliy wrap up a game of Triple A in 3.5 hours.

What was the fastest full Monopoly game that anyone here has played?

Monopoly takes more than 1 hour. You have to land on each square to buy it. I don't think it was as little as an hour.

My cousin was drunk, so he hit the board over and all the pieces flew everywhere. He then stated he won. Therefore, the game was over.
Lol. JK.
Me, my cousin, my other cousin, and brother played all together. My oldest cousin won.
It was a little more than an hour long game.

You don't have to have all properties bought up to win the game. All it takes is the other players going bankrupt and if they choose to not mortgage property to get money then they lose. It could go very quickly depending on what happens!
