I guess that wolframalpha has its problems, and google has something that will blow it out of the water...

Damn, I can't find the news article at the moment. But apparently google has something in the works.

Google isn't going anywhere.

Deal with it.

Try it right now, but first go to the top and click examples and see what you can do. Then try it out. And yes I know its not a Google Killer because it doesn't search websites, but it does do a lot of other things amazingly.

No thing is better or in other words, "nothing".

Google does EVERYTHING. Asside from the obvious it will read your voice mail, allow you to make 3d models of your house, it helps you run a bussiness, edit photos, store medical records etc.

EVERYTHING all for FREE!! (my favorite four letter word).

Oh and lets not forget about the BILLION dollar income.

Now, what can the garage experiment by comparison known as Wolfram alpha possibly offer that is different and hasn't been tried before by others?

Okay thats all great, but this new program isn't google, it doesn't do what google does, it doesn't do what anybody does. Its free, and once it hits beta, or even mainstream it will be up there with google.

Have you been drinking?

You just said that the program isn't google, doesn't do what google does but will be up there with google.

Explain again (without editing your posts after the fact) how this will end google.

well i think whats trying to be said is that, its going to be one of the top search engines up there with google.

and google is great and all, but seriously, the majority of people that actually use google just use it as a web search engine. which means that they use it to go to a website to find an answer to a question, or a problem. and with Wolfram Alpha, you wouldnt need to go through all the other steps, you type in a question or what your looking for, and its got your answer for what you were looking for with out having to search between a few different sites.

i dont think i will be the end of google either, but i do think it would lessen the amount of people that use it on a daily basis.
which would cut those "Billions" you talked about earlier into a much lesser portion.

(i also believe this could be a very good debate, NOT an argument. we're all friends here)
