Playstation 3 Slim

I know this is wrong area but nobody reads the right area.

Well the PS3 got a price drop to $299 and also got a ugly step brother. The PS3 slim. Why is it that Sony can make something so beautiful and fck it up.

Yes it is still the beast of a machine it was before but hear my complaints. None removable hard drive (120GB), No piano gloss (we may all hate it put it looks sexy with it), the on/off and eject buttons look like they are not longer touch sensitive (they look like normal buttons). The logo, the frigging logo looks like a piece of crap, please at least put the original logo back on it! And the chrome where is the chrome, even on the newer model PS3's they don't have the "real chrome" its just that sticker stuff. But still come on! At the moment not a lot is known about it, but it will also be $299 but by the time it comes out September 1st. I will probably have more to complain about, and if you are a PS3 owner really what do you like about it. I actually like the bigness of it. It makes it what it is. Also I swear to god if anybody calls it the fcking PS3 Fat or w.e I will personally shot you.

I didn't hear anything about B/C so thats too bad. Hopefully they will release a newer model with B/C.

wow that is really dumb looking. Its barely any smaller than the origional ps3! Very pointless if you ask me. I would never buy that over the regular ps3, especially if the price is exactly the same.

Ok whats your problem? I already have a PS3 and a PS2. But it's just more convenient to have them in one and my PS2 is starting to act up.

I'm guessing Sony will eventually add PS2 games to the PSN leaving us to pay for games we already own.
And I was told that the slim is smaller than the original PS2 so that gives a good idea of what it is.

Bit random but every ps3 sony sells they make a loose on it, Im guessing they dont put alot of cash into how it looks. Tbh i would use it as a black brick as im predudice to ps3's everywhere lol. *imagins a black ps3 shaped house...Then bombs it*

They did, its $299 now.

Oh yea, they removed the ability to install Linux on the slim so thats a downer for people that want to do that.
They added some other stuff, like a sync option to hook up with a Bravia tv.

Alright ahaha. Um well what do you expect Sony is losing money on every console, now they are losing more. People should just be happy really. This really means the start of the PS3's life though with the price right a lot more people are going to be buying it.

its a bad decision. originals will die on shelves now cause why pay the same amount for less? unless of course this is until they actually have the slim nice and released. that way i suppose they could earn a bit more from people who see the shiny 299 price point and just go for it. in any case itd be wise to wait for the slim to hit stores that way we can see if the original goes down more in price or you could just get the slim if it doesnt.

dont get me wrong i love sony guys this is great news.

I would rather pay $399 for the original and $299 for the slim. I wouldn't even buy the slim if it was given to me.
