CODS my thing. I got screwed over by Halo. Not allowing someone to play the full game (ex Matchmaking) because you dont have the latest maps isnt right.

Yea like bkf said, I'm more into COD, but of course I can play my copy of ODST online now I think its pretty fun. Imo, all the halo games have been quite "fun", especially the first 2. But ODST is really for the first time (for the 360) about the story and less about multiplayer. If you liked the first one especially for the story, then you should probably give ODST a try since there isn't even a "multiplayer" for it (aside from a horde type mode, and co-op). I haven't gotten very far in it since I'm still waiting for the uniclamp kit to arrive from xbox-experts to fix the overheating issue, but from what I've played it's a pretty fun game (rent it though, I wouldn't buy it).

Yup, got it in the mail today.

Just got it in the mail today, and this game blew me out of the water, it totally shocked my perspective on Halo, Being as this one focusing more on the Story, and it sounds weird for a halo game but its actually executed very well, the drama sounding music in the right points, the "sneak" factor is there defiantly. They did an amazing job with this game.

Me and a few friends played firefight as well, hours of fun waiting to happen in my opinon, alot harder than horde, and thats saying something.

It has got pretty mixed reviews, but how can it not be bad? FPS's ftw.
I'm still not sure about spending $60 on COD MW:2 though, I'm kind of tired of FPS games and if I wanted to play one then I'd play COD4, tons of people still play online still. I just hope they don't drop the online support anytime soon.

Dude,

It's so damn good, I've never played a game like this one lol, its a serious, kindof drama FPS.
It's really different.

Somebody explain what the gameplay is like to me. I'm at work currently but I'd like some info in case a customer comes in asking about it.

-edit- I watched a gameplay video on YouTube and it seems kind of "call of duty"-ish... as in, you get points for the kills and stuff popping up on the screen. I like that it has some new guns - the pistol looks sexy, almost like Halo 1 in functionality.

Well its like any other fps, your in first person view but you can't run fast or anything. So, no sprinting, the guns have like a bigger "blast radius", ie its definitely not like cod5 where you have to have your iron sight right on the guy your shooting. Like it is pretty easy to get a headshot even though it doesn't feel like you exactly hit someones head. Also it feels more like your in a bubble, like your wearing a helmet, than like cod.

It's more similar to Halo 1 in terms of style and gameplay.

The pistol looks amazing... and I'm all about Halo 1 so maybe this is a Halo game that I can actually get into... that'd be sweet.

The pistol is definitely better. If I had to compare it to one of the halo series, it would have to be the most similar to halo 1. It's pretty awesome, and the story line is pretty cool. Its definitely a very unique story line, I won't give it away, but I really like the different elements that they incorporated into the story.

Although I am quite pissed because earlier yesterday I got to the beginning of the "3rd" level/mission/whatever thing and then today I beat it and got back into the main part and then got off, got back on a few hours ago and while the 3rd mission was technically beaten, and checked off my objectives list, the first 2 were no longer checked on the objectives list, and I spawned at the beginning of the 3rd stage. A weird save glitch thing, I guess I will just have to do the first 2 again to get them checked off the objectives list.

Wow, you'd assume that they'd fix those types of stupid bugs before the release... but I guess it might have been a little more rushed than other titles. I know Blizzard takes their fancy little time creating their products and they generally have very limited bugs.
