Torrents have always been bad like that...it just depends on what your searching for as certain things pull up more fakes than others.

Ugh didnt any of you read the entire article?
Companies are uploading fake torrrents, making them look as real as possible. Fake sizes, fake number of leechers/seeders
to make it look really good to download. Once downloaded you will stay at 0.0% and because torrents use your IP to download specifically
to your computer, your Ip contains everything. Your personal details. They are catching people.
This isnt about malware or anything.

One way to avoid this... stick to torrents on private sites, such as demonoid.

crap, I hope this doesn't go toward the stuff I download off of megaupload or any file share
sites the users use for isos and movies.

Why would it? megaupload and sites like it aren't p2p... They're direct link download servers. Completely different story.

Well I just downloaded three more seasons of bleach and they all worked like a charm for now I'm still using torrent spy.

i wouldnt be too worried mailas there isnt a massive crackdown on torrent sites. just avoid the brand new stuff give it a week to cool off. this is why i have a big donkey magnet ready to fry my hard drive.

But there are millions of people downloading torrents and say there is a fake one on family guy episode 2 and 4000 people are downloading it, meaning they would get all of there ips yes but maybe only pick one or two to bust. So i think its still safe.

I know its old but believe me theres tons of articles about it.
I just thought id pick that one, didnt bother to read the date o it though.
There was one on the Simpsons movie. It had over 4000 leechers.
