To be honest I don't own a game or dvd. My cousin does so I will get one from her Thursday. Then we can go from their. Again thanks for your help, I know newbies like me need it.

No, he could have gotten a different type of pack OR gotten it from a second hand store or etc.

ok, but i heard that if you hit in a button where the umd goes, it will start it up, thinking that a umd is in there.. is that true?

I'm not sure, but there's several way such as: Competely turn off your PSP and inset a UMD in the UMD slot and then when turning on the PSP, it will load up the UMD directly. Or you can just put in a UMD, and then clicking X on the UMD logo.
