if not then heres a great surprise!
so here's my first hardware hack that ive done
it's a ps/2 powered vmu
::defenitions for n00bs::
ps/2: a cable commonly used on most older computer mouses/mice or keyboards
it used to be the standard before the usb ports and is still commonly placed on computers
vmu: the special visual memory units (memory cards) for the dc (dreamcast)

So the VMU is actually POWERED through the p2/2 cord that is hooked up to the computer? Did you have to write any driver(s) for the computer to be able to connect it properly? Details my friend - and that's a great, original idea. We all the know that the original lithium CR2032 batteries in the VMU's don't last long.

Heh, I just stuck four CR2016s in it, and it ran for about 20 mins longer

But a very nice idea, I'd like to do it myself seeing as my VMUs are kinda collecting dust now.

That's pretty cool. dpm I'm thinking he just used the 5v or w/e the voltage is that comes from the ps/2 jacks :p But nonetheless it's still 1337. I think I'm going to try and mod some USB plugs to power my psp one day Maybe next weekend. Who knows.

no drivers this time

it's my first hardware hack
and original ideas are sometimes hard to come by
and the batteries not running long isnt why i did it
its cause i was too lazy to go out and get them from the store
