i have cracked my psp screen (well actually i got hit in the side with a q-stick while playing pool)

is there a way i can send this to sony or somthin without them upgrading my system

ha that sucks and their is no way to send it without getting it upgraded try writing a note with it and explain why you dont want to upgrade

If you have the warrenty from where ever u bought it from, u can exchange it there. Or you could send it to sony, and put sticky notes all over the psp saying "I DO NOT WANT MY FIRMWARE UPDATED" and film your psp being sent, and film the barcode on the bottom of your psp for reference. And when they send it back and its been upgraded, you can sue sony cause you have video proof telling them you didnt want it updated.

no its not that the actual scrren behind the glossy outside part got cracked and now there is no picture just a black screen with a crack from the top to the bottom that u can only see with the backlight turned on

well i'll tell you my story.
i called and told a lie saying that i left it in the charger for a week, and when I came back, the screen was cracked. so
anyway they told me to send it in, and i did. they sent it back to me and said that they know it was damadged by
"wear and tear" and said that it was their fault and they dont fix stuff done by the owner. and then to my surpirse, my
PSP was upgraded i was soooooooooooooooooooo pissed off...but anyway i wound up getting to other new ones

so what you should do is do what dano told u to do. find the warranty of where you bought it, and go exchange it.
and make sure you get the one that has no letter, or the letter A, letter B, Letter C, or letter D. other than those letters
DO NOT BUY. anyways good luck with that man i hope you get it fixed
