i think that DS it's selling more beacuse the PSP it's more expensive, if sony reduce the price then PSP will be selling more units

that sounds like it might work if sony lowers the price, but then again, not everyone needs a PSP, only the special and rich ones..haha!

lol,
but yeah thats right that if they lower the prices it will make more sales. but u need to think about this logically. if they lower their prices, more people will buy it, meaning more HACKERS will purchase it as well. this will result in an increment of hacks for the PSP, and sony dosnt want that. so u gotta keep that in mind as well ;-)

I'm not rich so I guess that makes me "special". The thing is, Sony is loosing money on the hardware and so only makes money off of the software. If they were to lower the price now they would loose even more money because in all honesty they really don't have that many games that people actually want to buy. Once they get some good games out there then they might lower the price a bit. Then again they could release a non "value pack" version for like $50 less like they have in japan.

eventually sony will drop the price. if they leave it up like that they wont get any more sales at all.

thats a good point...but they'll only drop the price when ALMOST all of the psps' for sale are 2.5's so no more hackers can buy it.

Yeah this way there will be no insentive for anybody to buy one.
