disabling update

Basically, it enabled a few things for your PSP that you wouldnt otherwise have. A major thing to check out is the readme to Harleyq's firmware. I know the basic things it can do are autoboot, and disabling of autolaunch of a UMD. Two very useful, but often overlooked features.

lol yeah, and don't forget the recovery.elf, a major addition to any psp, but sooner or later a flurry of cool PRX's will come along for us to enjoy.

What's the advantage over disabling the network update ? Are you afraid someone may update your PSP's firmware with it?

I disabled mine, it says "disabled"

I have read posts on site were people are looking for downgraders because when they left their poor defensless PSP with other people who were,'t "Brew-Savvy" the PSPs were updated... This takes care of that.

(she doesnt know theres a 2.7 downgrader
