So is it a deabolt or padlock? Actually, if you ask me, lock picking is easy. Especially if you have a dremel or grinding wheel. Just use a blade from a hack saw to make the pick and use like a hair pin or pin(pointy ones) to make a tension wrench. You use the tension wrench or put tension on it (twist it) and use the pick to push the bolts up. There's about like 5 bolts but once you push it up the tension wrench should keep it from falling back down. Once you have all 5 (depends on lock) then you use the tension wrench to twist the lock all the way open and bam. I can pm you info on lock picking if you want me to, used to be a pro man ;) Well more like very inexperienced but knowledgeable lock picker. The best lock picking tool set I have found has a case shaped like a credit card and it opens up and has the pick and tension wrench in it. Frickin pwned. It's always useful to buy a old deadbolt lock from the store, take it apart and leave 1 bolt (I am referring to the "pins" in the tumbler) in it so you can start out easy. Then keep adding pins till you can do all of them.
O and if it's a padlock they are like super easy. Just gotta make a padlock shim to place in the locking mecanism and pop it goes open. You can even use old soda cans to make simple 1 time shims.

Edit: OOoo ok yea that's similar to a deadbolt.

And you have to push them in so they all have to be pushed at the same time in and then there is a little spinny thing at the end that has to turn then it opens.

Yep, I have no clue what in the world your talking about. But I mean based off those pictures, it seems rather similar to a deadbolt. But instead of the bar closing and opening, all the thing does is turn 90 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise. Based off that I'm pretty sure it is extremely easy to pick, since it seems like it could possibly be the kind of lock where there are duplicates of the key put into several different packages of the same lock. Is it cheap? What I mean by cheap, I mean it doesn't have a certain key for each specific item. Like old lawnmowers. Such as old murry brand lawnmowers used to have the same exact key for all of the lawnmowers. But yea, sounds easy to pick to me. Rather similar to the ones used at walmart instead it has 2 tabs instead of 1 tab that twists. Nothing like the look on the employees face when you bring a item up from a cabinet you opened yourself. :D

He could go outside to use the grinder to make some lock picks 8)
Aw come on DA, who would rather go sit around outside when you can be busily at work in breaking in a room in your own house?

Wow. I'll admit I get on the internet a lot but I do a lot of other stuff too. Once he mentioned the part about breakin in the room and stuff I really wouldn't care about getting on the internet. I would be more interested in proving that your parents or whoever did it, there methods are rather childish and can easily be exploited.
I mean really, only time I'm on the internet is when yall see me actually making posts. If it says im on, and I'm not making posts, I'm probably not on. 1pm to 4am without eating....I died. I mean 1pm to 4am without going outside or something? I would die doin that too.

Ok i see the lock and I have read everyone's suggestions. Now from what I can tell the door opens toward you. Are those hinges on the outside of the door? If they are then pulling the three door hinge pins out on one side of the door would probably be the quickest and cleanest method for an amateur lock picker. If they are not then you can check the web or torrent sites for the Anarchist Cookbook. This has a whole section devoted to lock picking that they made pretty easy to understand. This does seem to be a pretty easy lock to get around so just a little teaching should get you in. If you really want in then take the time to learn the skill. It is not like you would have to study for weeks...this can be learned by trial and error in an hour or so.
