Well, why don't you try not to save it, or find a saved game, download it, and use that.. first try not to save it..

I don't have any sort of choice of saving. It's the very first message that pops up when it loads.

Hmm.. Try blowing inside where the umd goes, and see if there are any scratches on the UMD that make it freeze..

Hmm.. Well if you can, I would format your memory stick and start this all over.. Then it will probably work..

I'm on 2.0, using the eboot loader and pspsetx, and I have a "Game System File" saved for Megaman that it asked to create (since it wouldn't go past that without it.)

I would format it, and just try again, like I said before.. thats the only way to fix it (I hope).. And back up your files if you need to..

Formatted it and tried, still freezing. Suppose I should give up on this game.

Yeah, I would go back to the rental store and ask for a new one, and try it...

Well, it was one of those online things, maybe I should give them an email saying that the game doesn't work.

Yeah, and I would try it again.. Why don't you try downloading the file and all again, extracting again, formating, and then restarting your PSP completely, put it all on -----or wait ---- restore system defaults, and start it all up again and see if it works...
