The first thing you need to do is nab a custom firmware, so you don't brick your new 1.5 baby. You should also get the latest version of Devhook by going to PSP-Hacks and getting the Ultimate Installer by Chaos Zero, then talk to me about getting everything set up if you'd like. Id rather use harley g's custom firmware. (my opinion)

That's the one I use, I just suggested getting any custom FW, because any recovery.elf is better than none. But the harleyg custom firmware v2 is the best when combined with Devhook, for those who don't know, you can load Devhook right from when you turn on the PSP, if the WIFI switch is down. Really cool stuff out there, I've been grabbing as much as I can since I first downgraded.

Yea, the WIFI switch or the WLAN switch better known, can come in handy since it loads it by the push of a button, plus it plays 1.0 eboots.
And the recovery mode on it is so easy, you just have to hold on the Hold button as you're turning you're PSP on, plus it can just get it off you're PSP in a second!
Its very reliable.
