fat or slim?
if the fat and the slim were the same but the weight and size which would be better?

Well if you like hombrew go with the phat but if you like plying on a bigger screen and not having bulding pockets which people might think weird stuff about whats in your pocket, go with the slim.
I'm rocking Dark-Alex's 3.71m33 firmware with his 1.50 kernel update for the fat psp.............I want a slim now >.<!

More RAM? Good to know. Is it true the screen is a bit bigger? I don't think it is?
I've been reading a lot about the slim not really doing the whole homebrew thing...are you talking about a method that would need a pandora battery?
