Homebrew is semi-possible on 2.0 Now

This is old but i came here and could find nothing on this so im like wtf? this is like the pimp site of all things homebrew.... so if you havent update you should. You can basically run all psp aps with the eboot loader. Only thing is you can load aps in kernal mode (yet)

firmware 2.0 Eboot loader for the PSP to version 0.6. This program allows for the launch of some homebrew programs (not all since it is being run in user-mode and not kernel mode.) This program builds on the work done by Saotome to load homebrew EBOOT.PBPs into PSPs with v2.0 firmware, using the TIFF exploit. It will not work on any other firmware version - including v2.01 and 2.50. Changes in this release include: v0.6 : Compatibility and stability - bundle user-mode LUA player. - only process stringtable section header and .reginfo, all others are unused. - setup $gp register from .reginfo - change folder thumbnail to smaller image, improves launch stability. - added scan for EBOOTs with hard-coded paths. - clear display RAM before starting some EBOOTs, to clear up some graphical anomalies. - added direct seek to ELF header - much much faster file loading.

you can get it from pspupdates at http://files.pspupdates.qj.net/cgi-bin/ ... ,0,40,1580[/quote]

There really isn't any reason for anyone running 1.5 to upgrade to 2.0. None whatsoever.

Yes you can run emulators on 2.0 now with the eboot loader, and that is a perfectly good reason for people with 1.5 to upgrade to 2.0... You can run 98% of all 1.5 apps on 2.0 now. (i really dont know what you cant load on it... the 2% just covers my donkey incase there are some) Btw he released .7 tonight that can run everyones favorite Shoot em up "Noiz2SA 0.5" You can get .7 at http://files.pspupdates.qj.net/cgi-bin/ ... ,0,40,1600

ok here is a reason... to be able to use emulators (like snes which probably 90% of the people who use emulators use snes) and play GTA at the same time with out haveing to downgrade, considerin that GTA only works on 2.0... not to metion that probably everygame from here on out will only work on 2.0+ So if you only bought your psp to run emulators and never play games again... ill shoot myself on your behalf
