I doubt that they got it from a reliable source because everyone thought that Sony was going to have a PSP2 come out for E3.
However, it was just that. Rumors.
They've said many times they are going to make the PSP have a 10 year life cycle just like the consoles.

PS: You haven't gotten on S&S at all!!! Argh!! Lmao. SWHump!

I doubt that if they make a PSP2 anytime soon, homebrew enablement will be very easy...

I'm more interested to see the next model of the PSP, like the HD and stuff

Yea I can't wait to see it. They ought to have some good ideas like built in mic, dual analog, internal HDD.
And its gotta have better graphics and ram too!

I think the biggest mistake with the PSP was the lack of a 2nd analog stick. I honestly dont understand the reasoning of that...

A lot of games use both analog sticks or neither.
Think about using two analog sticks.
How safe would that be for your console? You're gonna barely hold it with your thumbs and index fingers on the trigger buttons if you hold it the way I've seen some people hold there PSP.

OUCH, always always always always aim away!

but in all seriousness, two joysticks would be amazing. maybe 2 of the triggers also. Tried playing star wars jedi power battles for ps1 and it was awful since you need the L2 and R2 for basic components of the game.

Sony needs to make it a PS3 controller with a screen in the middle...pimpsauce!

Yea thats what I was thinking, a PS3 controller with screen :D.
I also read that it would be 2-3 years before it would come out
but Idk. It will probably be a sweet little device!

2-3 years can effect the tech also. it sounds good to me. hopefully its got a few gigs in it, and faster memory. i think they can shrink the ps2 into a controller sized product in a few years. ::crosses fingers::
