Its finally here. PSP-Open Source Shell 0.1b is now available for download from the following mirrors.

The source code will be released in a few days once licensing has been organised. Please note a post has been made in the forums for feedback in relation to this release please feel free to leave your feedback.

A big shout out goes to the coders who worked long and hard on this fantastic release. In a few hours we will also open the skins submission page so that those of you who wish to submit your skins will be able to.

yea I was just about to talk about that. Until the site went offline. anyways, I really like it! Its a cool thing for the psp and u gusy have to get it! ITS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wait ive been hearing a lot of hype about this. What exactaly is it and how does it work?

What exactly is it? Well, its a whole new look for the psp. Instead of the 5 icons (Music, photo, etc...) there will be a different look. For example, your current psp look is windows XP, and this new app changes the look into mac OSX (just an example peeps..)

But what it doesn't have is video's (MP4) and a browser, but trust me, onces coming...this is only Version .1

instead of having those crappy icons as your main menu (photo, settings, music etc...) you will have a main menu of the one with yuna in the picture

ok i kinda get it now but one more question. If i have this on my psp correctly and i boot up my psp it will still take me to the regular psp inteface and then i can open up the oss thing, right?

Guys I cant get it to work. I put the files in the right place, am using 1.5, and all it does is shut off my PSP...

You have to extract it directly to your Root file of your memory stick.

Make sure you have the file "PSP-OSS" in your root memory stick, and then have PSP/GAME/PSP-OSS and PSP-OSS%. Load it up and your set.

I did. Twice. It shuts the damn thing off still...

Try saving all of your files that you have in your PSP/GAME on your PC desktop, after doing that, delete all the files that you have in your PSP/GAME folder. Now Extract only the PSP OSS directly to your memory stick. Then launch.

Make sure you have the file "PSP-OSS" in your root memory stick, and then have PSP/GAME/PSP-OSS and PSP-OSS%. Load it up and your set.
