That's a really good question. Hm, Maybe because the 2.50 has more content in the firmware. It's been more protected by other files? Wow, that's a really brainy question. I have no idea what's all contained that the 2.50, but I'm pretty sure they will find a crack in the firmware and will make the firmware downgradeable.

its hard because everytime hackers find a way to hack a crack in a firmware, sony fixes that crack and makes a new firmware with upgraded security updates.

cause with homebrew brings hacks, with hacks brings emulators, firmware launchers, downgraders, UMD emulators, pirated games etc.... which over all =TOTAL LOSS IN MONEY!

Nope. Thats for Nintendo's reason. You see Nintendo also makes games and since it can process onto the PSP then that means aswell, Nintendo has :
TOTAL LOSS IN MONEY! But what nintendo really hates is the GBA emulator. Thats what my bos said when I was working there one time. So anyways sony might not have any caution whatso ever if they have people having snes and nes on their PSP's. But maybe not because you cant just go up to them and say you have Nintendo's pirated games on your PSP. You would go to jail (or if your a youngster jewby) for a pretty long time.

nintendo made a load of money off their nintendo DS and gameboy advance. How is that losing them money? The PSP cant emulate DS, and it cant emulate the GBA perfectly either. As for SNES, NES etc, nintendo doesnt care cause those are old and discontinued. And is not making them any money anyways, so they have no worries if its emulated onto a psp.

Alright u would have to be right on the ds but I have seen tons of people trying to get the GBA emulator on. And also, for snes and nes, Nintendo is about to release the revolution anytime soon and their sooo concerned about money, they are deciding to actually have money be payed to play them (wtf).
So yea but really, Nintendo does care about the gba roms and snes and nes roms.
