Finally finished my newest xbox project!

I didnt feeel like bumping the electronics owned thread again so I figured I would make a new one. I finally finished my modded Japanese transparent blue LE Kasumi Xbox tonight. I put in an Xecuter3 chip, an X3IR reciever, an X3 control pannel (pro switch, LCD screen, and 2 USB ports), I desoldered the leds in the Power/Eject board and replaced them with LEDs that can be set to Blue, purple, or red). Blue LEDs in the controller ports, and a blue LED ring around the jewel.

My parents are coming down tomorrow and Im going to finish fixing that one all up (they wanted all UV on top of just about everything else).

I somehow managed to delete one of my photobucket albums in a drunken stupor last night so here is one that I had previously posted plus a few new ones with the flash on so you can see the whole thing.

The little wire hanging down from the front connects to a serial 9 pin port on a PCB board which can be connected to your computer to program the IR reciever to accept signals from different remotes. It will even turn your xbox on and off from the couch. Once its programmed the wire just gets unplugged. I havent had time to mess with it using my logitech harmony 360 universal remote yet though.

Is any of that really nessacary? Every thing becomes obsolete eventually.... Does that really make that big of a difference besides the fact that it looks cool? I would much rather invest my time and money into some thing that will still be useful in the long run. I almost forgot to say though, that does look great.

Well if you consider old school games obsolete maybe, but considering you can have and play thousands of games from every system from the Atari 2600 & Commodore 64 through the N 64 and PS 1 on I wouldnt consider it a waste at all. My xboxes get much more use than my "not-outdated" 360 does. Additionally, since it is connected to my home theatre system I have transferred my DVD collection (so I dont have to change discs  ) and I have transferred my entire itunes music library (about 28 gigs of music) onto it so whenever I want to listen to a track on my living room stereo it's right there. Find a funny video clip or have a digital photo collection on your computer? Just open up Flash FXP (PC) or Transmit (Mac) or whip out a crossover cable and transfer it right over to your "pictures" or "videos" folder. You think the psp has some cool home brew? Try plugging in a keyboard, typing in the name of a band, and having a bunch of their video titles pop up to stream. For the price of a PSP you can pimp out an xbox to do things you never even knew were possible. Oh and you can use your PSP to control Xbox Media Center (best xbox homebrew app ever).

Hmm never thought about it like that, all very valid points. You win this round....
