holy sh*t! i ALMOST bricked my psp!

wow, i would have thought that i would be the LAST person to get my
psp bricked. here's what happened:

i had a video on my computer that was in wmv format.
i used the max media manager to try and convert it.

when i tryed to convert it, it immediatly said it was done, and sent it over
to my memstik. but it said that the file was only 1kb (one the memstik)

so i thought whatever, lets see what happens.

i played the movie, and the sscreen just stayed black....i was confused and tried press circle (to get out of the video mode)
but it was the same.
so i pressed home on the psp and sent me back.... but this time all the icons on the psp desktop thingy were surrounded by a black square...
i couldnt move the cursor for a while then i started hearin this REALLY loud "beeping" sound coming from my psp.

i started to freak out and tried to shut off my psp but it wouldnt shut off! i had to quickly take out the battery and it shut off.

i turned it back on, and i was so relieved that it was still working....


i was scared sh*t, cuz i have 3 psp, and one is 1.5 and the other two are 2.7 and 2.71
so if this one got bricked i cant play homebrew. but it worked fine thank god.


and plus i eventually got the video to work (but it was a long proccess)

First of all, maybe you should be SMART for once and actualyl figure out that putting a 1kb file (if its not a txt file) rather then being a movie to be put on the PSP. Putting a 1 kb movie on the psp is just plain brainless.

Second, a corrupted movie file does not have "black squares" around the icons of the xmb.

This story sounds like a load of bs. (my opinion)
Don't bother making any lame disses at me like you always do after I post this since I wont post back on this topic since it sounds like a load of bs.

Just a word of advice don't leave your psp on all night while using devhook to emulate 2.7 and play a game. I forgot to turn it off, it did the thing where I turned it on and it turned right back off, even after taking the battery out. It did eventulaly come back after multiply boot ups.
