Hmmmm, they are converted right? Like are they in .MV4 format? There should be two files for it.

Well the files must be corrupted. Corrupted video files will def. not show on the PSP.
Just use PSPVideo 9 and download the .wmv file of the video (the one thats not for psp) and let psp video 9 convert it. It automaticaly puts it on you're psp when its done converting.

Because sony uses the compressed video format (AAC or something of that nature) for the MP4 videos you download from them or anywhere else related to the format. 1.5 PSP's cannot view them because of the implementation of the format on the version 2.0. They make you need to upgrade to 2.0 to watch that format of video, so I suggest that you use PSPVideo9 to "stick it to the man". Unless you feel like booting up Devhook to watch them all of the time  .

Devhook emulates firmware higher than 2.0 so you can "have" the higher firmware to view the videos of that format.

All versions of Devhook BELOW version 46 (so 46 is not yet safe as of this moment) are completely safe to use. The versions 45 and below do not access the PSP's kernal or any brickable areas of the PSP. Version 46 however can be dangerous, as it allows you to flash the firmware to a part of the kernal to allow for faster emulation. Basically all Devhook does is emulate a higher firmware version PSP, but you can also load ISO's and use all of the functions of all the firmwares up to 2.71 (2.8 is not yet supported). It only accesses the PSP's RAM, and then it will stop working if you turn the PSP completely off, aka by doing a hard reboot (or reset?). So you can enjoy the 2.71 "goodness" (the features, not the crappy actual firmware update), without actually updating your PSP. This is why everyone is fanatical about Devhook, since it is ONE of the best things to grace us 1.5 owners. You can find a link to the FULL INSTALL HERE, and ENJOY!
