Computer Question

I recently bought a new computer and have no use for my old one now. I was wondering if there was any parts that i could take from my old computer and add it to my new computer to improve it a little?

say u had a better ram card for your old one then ur new one then take the good ram card from the old computer and put it in the new computer and take the new computer one and sell it or put it back with the old comp.

same with the harddrive, and video card, and sound card ect

yea u could take out the old ram from the old one but it would have to match the bus speed the new one, say ur old one was using ddr 333 ram then ur new comp mobo has to have that bus speed or close to it, otherwise its not gonna boot. Also, theres is a diff between ddr and ddr2(240 pins). If its slower then ur fastest ram on the new comp will run at the slowest speed, slowing it down, faster ram than ur comp can handle usually means no boot.

Take out the hard drive and use it as a back up for the new comp or put a different OS onto it... If your old video card or sound card is better than the new one maybe use them instead...
