Sonic Rivals Review

Heres a review I did by playing and waisting 2 hours of my life with sonic rivals.
Video also included.
When I got this, I was so excited to finally get it on my hands, but now..wow, what a complete make over on my reaction.

Red = Poor Orange = Below Average Blue = Average Green = Great

    Graphics:
In a way its good, in a lot of ways, when you turn 180 degrees, they get really screwed up.
They de compress the gfx, when they could have done a much better job of it. When you turn, you can only
    basically see the ground,
plus the sky relevant, but nothing else until you are on a straight 90* turn, is when it all comes back.
Plus, the model files used in this could have been better, but they were pretty good for a PSP standard game.

But this really ticked me off, was the menu.
It was so similiar to a menu that reminded me of a lua game:
Sonic Battle Arena by the mario karters and other people. It was basically a
rip off of something else to me.
Okay, so overall, the graphics could have been WAY better.
    5.3/10

    Gameplay:
Now this is something that could of had work too.
Silver, a new character addition, really had no potential skills. Seemed like a character
from Sonic 3. Nothing special about him, even his new suits.

Sonic, was perfectly done. No question.

Shadow, poorly done, even couldnt match up to sonic.

Knuckles, he was in a way, pretty good aswell.

They even have this really bad effect which I mentioned before, with the turning, but it messes up the controls.
And it would be A LOT better instead of just using the right and left buttons just to move, even especially when
you're going in a straight degree angle.

So overall, the gameplay in a way was good, but in a ot of ways just sucked the life out of me.
    6.7/10

    Story Line:
    Dr.E:
    "Ho Ho ho, whos this?"
"Doctor, what should I do with him?"
    "Take him down"

Thats not exactly how it went haha, but I could just tell from the start this would look bad.
No doubt about it, that was poorly done.
Overall, needs work, not done good at all.
    3.2/10

    Music:
This I would say just ruled, way better than anything else. The choice of it was perfect, no question.
And it really goes with the flow of the levels.
Nothing bad about it at all, goes with every part of this game.
    9.8/10

    Originality:
Nothing is original except the music, a bit of the graphics (a lot were blocks and ellipsoid models),
just some of the gameplay, but hardly anything else.
    0.4/10

    Overall:
Concept does not meet desire on this game at all.
    I would give it 21/50

    Reccomended? No

Remember, this is an opinion, Id really enjoy a non flame here. If any of you dis agree with what I have
to say, please post, if you agree, or you just like the review, or just post comments, then feel free to do so.
