you don't need a bios, just need to maybe change kernels? also make sure to place the rom where it is supposed to go, but that is a no-brainer.

there is no save states, and we can't adjust frameskip and stuff, but Mario 64 is very much playable now, even with sound... I was amazed. I wasn't even going to post it on the front page but then I tested it and I was amazed by how much faster it got. I nearly had a heart attack when I heard the music in several places sound perfect.

In Mario 64 the frame rate will drop in the "levels" but it is (I would guess) 48-55fps when you are outside the castle. Quite amazing. Turning off the sound will make it go about 15- 20% faster too.

Mario 64 can be saved (in game) after you get a star (at least mine does). I haven't tried Mario Kart but I am guessing that I should?... I mean... this is just cool now that we are seeing speed + sound. If StrmnNrmn would have asked me what I thought about the possibility of a Nintendo 64 emulator on the psp three months ago... I would have told him to quit dreaming. N64 emulation is just unbelievable to me. I didn't think that the emulator would ever be this good, and knowing that it is just going to get better... I just can't wait.

hmmm.... that's a really weird situation. I'd try to also download it from another source. If anything, the download is good and it is getting buggy from the rom you are putting in the rom folder... I guess other than that I can't really suggest anything.
